OnePlus9 Pro 5G (Morning Mist, 8GB RAM, 128GB Storage)

I've been a long time user of oneplus, starting with oneplus one. And i was pretty disappointed when the camera quality dropped from oneplus 5 to oneplus 7. The photos came out over processed, with not enough detail. And this disappointment continued with oneplus 8T.Now that i have a"pro", i get the scam that oneplus is running. While on paper, the OnePlus standard versions sound great, they get all budget components that nord gets, well except for the processor. You have to purchase a pro to get the premium experience which used to come by default with all oneplus phones before the pro n nord scam started.Coming to the phone, it takes great photos n charges fast. Photos quality is comparable with iphone. Battery is a big letdown. Lasts a day on moderate usage. If usage is more, you'll need to charge twice a day. Also the phone does get hot while charging.Camera and fast charging are a big plus for me. So I'll stick with oneplus till pixel gets fast charging.

I bought this phone in the month of April 2021. Now below are the issues which needs to be fixed by One Plus team -1. Over Heating issue - Even without any use, there is heating issue. Please bring some update with cooling patch.2. Front camera is very average and any phone ranging 10k would click the same quality front camera pics.3. I am facing this issue nownon regular basis - My phone gets hanged and switch off in mid of any work. Like, if I am watching movies in Netflix, then suddenly after some time it gets automatically shut down even though I have full battery. This happens once in a 2-3days but it really concerns me a lot why my phone gets suddenly shut on and gets restarted. Too disappointed4. You cannot record 8k videos for longer period of time due to overheating issues. Please fix it.I would rate this phone as 0 but still I am giving 1 due to it's good gaming performance and back camera quality is also good and build also looks good.

Pros:1. Excellent vivid display clarity2. Amazing Dolby atmos sound clarity3. Flagship capable camera sensors4. Light speed fast charging5. Beautiful morning mist design and build quality with IP rating6. Excellent wide angle camera quality than any flagship smartphone and also its better than primary camera.7. Superb video quality especially wide angle lens and competes to flagship phones.Cons:1. Poor battery backup, lasts till evening for normal usage.2. Eye strains and headache because of PWM, even 50% of PWM flicker in 100% of brightness.3. Phone always warm even for normal usage.4. Gitter or lag while scrolling, can notice many times.5.Since its begin stage of camera calibration with Hasselblad its take time to improve picture quality, so need patient.6. Outdated selfie camera.7. Latest corning gorilla glass is not there still version 5.8. Telephoto lens quality is not great. Conclusion: By default all mobiles have there own cons by the way 95% of issues are software issues in this phone and it can be fixed via future updates i guess.

Got the morning mist 8GB+128GB version for only ₹54,999/- in a promotion here on amazon. Have to admit, it's one of the best flagships out there. Was waiting for 10 Pro but the discount was way too good to pass on for a version that is not much of a successor. Here are my observations:Pro:1) Excellent Screen: 120Hz QHD+ 10bit Display-P3 LTPO HDR10 Amoled with 1300nits brightness infinity display is one of the best out there.2) Flagship Processor: SD888 is just the best out there to do all you can ask. Like seriously.3) Build Quality: The phone is made like a tank. It's strong and IP68 Rated. The back cover is provided in the box and the Screen protector comes factory installed.4) Sound quality is very good for me.5) Connectivity Options: The device comes with all kinds of connectivity options, like 5G Network, Wifi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC (for payment like Tap & Pay), Usb-c3.1 & OTG, etc.6) Charging: Fast charge, fast wireless charge, and reverse wireless charging is just awesome.7) Fast Fingerprint reader.8) Minimum chin means high screen to body ratio.Cons:1)Battery life is little on the lower side because of only 4500mah battery and high power drawing CPU and Display.2)Lack of the 3.5mm port means you are mostly left with wireless options for audio.

After using for 12 days I am writing this reviews.Battery lasts sometime for more than 24 hours but sometimes it lasts only upto 12-14 hours. I am not playing any games just streaming online videos just for 2-3 hours and normal usage whatsapp and other stuff. Back cover given by 1plus was looking good when unpacked but after using 12 days dust free environment it looks like used for several months. Also it is not getting fit from sides. Loudspeaker is not good as compare to samsung or other brand. No 3.5mm jack. Camera is ok but when you try to focus background gets blur, if you try for group photo faces of few members are not clear.Editing review after update received. Battery drains very fast in ideal mode as well. It comes down to 10-15% in 3 hours without usage. No inbuilt compass app even after paying high amount. Normal text message does not have message delivered function.
