I bought these for yoga lessons but haven’t used them yet. They’re very good quality.

It’s very tempting when buying your various yoga accessories to overlook yoga blocks. I’ve been doing yoga and pilates for a couple of years now, and, while it was on my list of things to get, I’d never quite got around to buying one. If I’m honest, part of me wondered how useful it would actually be to have a thick lump of cork hanging around when I’ve gone quite happily without one all this time.In terms of exercises, they seem to be most useful for me when stretching. Half-pigeon poses are made much easier with a block on either side to give you extra height and extension. They also provide nice support under the hips and thighs if I ever feel reckless enough to try the splits. One nice use I found for them is to simply lie down with a block under your spine to perform a simple back bend. Really there’s an infinite number of uses. Any situation where you feel you need extra support or extension, or even just sitting on one to help modify exercises you find too difficult.The blocks are excellent. They’re made from very dense cork that doesn’t yield even when you put your whole weight on them. I half expected them to be made from the same cork you get in wine bottles, but this is a far more compacted material and it stands up to just about anything you could ask of it. They hold your weight well, are pleasingly tactile to the touch and the natural material is nicer to have around than EVA foam would be. They also happen to be very light for something that can happily support several times your body weight. Considering it’s just a block, I didn’t appreciate how much effort went into making something which is so deceptively simple. There’s nothing to find fault with. It’s a good product that works well and something that I hope to get a lot of use from in the coming years.

Light weight but solid .

I prefer cork to foam yoga blocks. Cork blocks are slightly heavier and stiffer and consequently provide better stability. These blocks are really dense and compact and measure approximately 23 x 15 x 7.5 cm. They don't tend to move around on the floor and are really easy to work with. Glad to have made the switch!
