Much more portable than the original
Great replacement for the original. Minor annoyance: the connector has a band of white light around it that glows much too brightly when plugged in.

Works great for Alienware M16 R1
I was skeptical at first since not much review on this product. Only reason I bought this is because Dell delayed my Slim 330W charger for another week. Decided to buy this and wooot, it's working for my Alienware M16 R1!It's much lighter than the shoebox adapter!

Great Alienware M16 R1 replacement power supply
Works with my Alienware M16 R1. I've been working out of town for weeks and was so dissapointed when I realized that I forgot my power supply for my gaming laptop. A quick trip to Amazon and I had this replacement the next day. I like this power supply more than the one that came with the laptop (smaller, less heat) so now I bring it in place of the original

What out for which version of the Alienware M18 notebook you are shopping for.
This charger is for a Alienware M18 R1, not a M18 R2.

Dangerous
Properly plugged in and it shut off the breaker to the room. Additionally it sparked and started the electrical fire smell. Bought to be a plug to use in other rooms so I have to unplug the main one. Will just buy the original OEM one. Plugged this in where a 1600W desktop use to be with no issues so I’m shocked by the issues.

Perfect for travel
I needed something less bulky for airport travel. I bought this with fingers crossed and it has paid off so far. It properly charges the laptop and doesn't overheat (anymore than the OEM brick).I don't know what the longevity is going to prove out to be but to be frank if it is more than 6-months the portability of this will be worth the price for my purposes. Let's hope for longer though!
