As described.
Let me set the record straight. Anyone who buys online must read the product description, and use common sense when planning a tank. This product is exactly how it is explained, perfect. I have mine attached using the clips far above the waterline. Its working so well that i took my avacado tree(which was having a hard time outside with the cold) and put it in the light. Also, note the fern that is coming back to life. I put tons of carpet seeds inside the tank when i set it up, most died after a few days. But after using this light you will see that its green af. I now have to get a snail in each tank due to algae growth. Germinates all my seeds(mostly bonsai).Lets get real here for a second. People who give this one star are just selling their product and writing bad reviews to get it removed/flagged. Leading to further false info being online. Anyone who got a factory error just get a new one. Nothing will ever be perfect. Look at your dimentions, do your research, and boom- you have a tank set up you want.

I’ve never written a review before but I thought I would considering I have been using this product for a couple months now. Often people write reviews when they first use it so I thought I would shed light on how this product is working for me 3 months later. I bought this originally for a 3.5 gallon in March but moved it to a 5 gallon in May and I have to say this light works great! I have low light plants as well as floating plants and the plants are thriving. In a matter of a couple weeks I had a full carpet of pearl weed and too many floating plants!! I was actually very hesitant to buy this light but it works and l have no complaints. It works better than the other light I had bought for my 4 gallon which was more expensive. I don’t know if you can grow red plants under this light, I don’t think the light is strong enough but for easy low light plants it works! Two pictures are from 2 weeks ago and one of them recently. As you can see the pearlweed has really taken off and I couldn’t be happier!

Loving this!
The media could not be loaded. So far I've just had the light for one day and pretty much everything about it I love. Has a really pretty bluish white hue color. It makes the whole kitchen glow 😀 Even during the day with sunlight coming through the windows it still looks great!

Perfect for my marineland 5 gallon portrait planted tank
This was the perfect upgrade for my marineland portrait 5 gallon betta tank in which I planted anubias, monte carlo and christmas moss. It's all alive and well, but growing slowly because I don't use CO2 or anything fancy like that. The blue light looks great and the white is wonderful. I actually put this tank in a very dark corner of our house and the way this light lights up the tank it acts as a beautiful lamp and completely lights up that dark corner of the room which is an unexpected bonus! It looks sleek and simple and is incredibly easy to use. I only wish the blue and white lights could be set on individual times, but that's a feature for a much more expensive product. This definitely does what I want it to and does it well! I can definitely recommend for a small planted aquarium.

Super bright lights in a small package
I love this little light. It's probably meant for small tanks but I used it on a 40 breeder with great results. There are 2 modes controlled by a switch on the back: blue night lights and bright white/blue combination, which looks really cool over black sand. It comes with a convenient clamp on the side to help keep it secured to the rim. The lamp is connected to the clamp by a bendable neck that holds its form at whatever angle its set without issues. The clamp is meant for smaller tanks and too narrow to fit around the rim on a 40g, but it's plenty bright and works well if you are looking to set it on a larger tank like I did. Normally the beamswork leds I use tend to get a little warm, but I've never had an issue with this lamp. It's thick and sturdy too which is surprising for such a small fixture, but it's not too heavy either. Highly recommended.

Great light for nano tank...!!!
I already own some Hygger lights and like them very much, I have the ones that straddle the tank. I recently set up two Marineland Contour 3 cubes, though, and the lights that come stock with them are sub-par, especially if you want to grow plants. I needed a "nano" light so decided to again try Hygger. I haven't planted the tanks yet (it's summer in AZ so way too hot to order plants online). I just put in some fake plants until I plant them, so didn't care much about the stock lighting... but I could hardly see my fish with the stock lights. Picture shows both Contour 3 tanks side-by-side, left with stock light, and right with Hygger light. What a difference! I can see my fish now! :-P

Great light for a 10 gal Fresh or Marine
Can't beat this light for the money. Mounts on the center back of the tank with an adjustable clamp. The goose neck can be tilted all the way down almost to the water's surface. Has a toggle switch to change from just blue or blue/white. Unless you're hung up on doing a light night, don't really see the advantage of just blue as it cuts the output significantly.Best of all, no funky electronics so you can hook this up to any mechanical timer.

For the price, it’s excellent!
This is an excellent little light for the price.Yes, it grows plants! It’s no frills but I kinda like that.I dislike all the stupid programmable features of most other lights. They don’t seem to work they way I want and often reset if the power goes out.Plug this thing into a Christmas light timer and you are good to go!I want to buy a few more just to have for future projects and honestly for the price it might not be a bad idea!
