Great lighting and option lighting feature.
Love, love, love this lamp. I looked at this lamp at 2 different furniture stores and just couldn't bare spending $200 on a lamp. So I found it here for way cheaper and it was at my door in 2 days! Very easy to put together and the hardware and quality seem very sturdy. It even came with additional screws in case you loose those tiny tiny things before you can get them in the upper arms of the lamps. The shade it quite light in color, more cream than a tan, which I like. We started off with 60 watt bulbs in each lamp, and it was VERY BRIGHT. So ended up putting 25 watt bulbs in shortly after, very calm and nice lighting. Some people said the lamp tipped. Not mine. It stands straight and it is on pretty plush carpet. Great addition to our family room. I do wish it had an option for all 3 lamps to be turned on separately. There is one lamp, then two lamps, then all 3.

Perfect lamp for my recliner
The lamp really fits well in my den, overhanging my favorite recliner. Assembly was straightforward... no hitches... just took patience. There were instructions, but mostly diagram, no wordy narrative step-by-step. The arms swivel at the base, and I was afraid that they would not spread out evenly, but they finally did. The arms are rigid (do not bend) but they will swivel (do this carefully). The hanging-down parts are actually the cords themselves hanging from the arms, with light fixtures on the end, and a fitting to attach the shades. At first, I thought this was a little chinch-y, but the final product was very attractive. I did not have any problem with the switch, as others did, but I'm usually careful anyway. The base is definitely heavy, so you best assemble the light as close to its resting place as possible (like not in the garage and tote it into the house, unless you have good helpers). The pole that attaches to the base is secure enough, but lifting it by the pole I suspect would be a mistake! The shades were nice and matched my wood-tone furniture. The lights are over my head which makes reading much better.

You Light Up My Life!
I received the lamp in a huge box that was wrapped very well, triple layer with really annoying styrofoam that just crumbled when you took the pieces out. The base of the lamp is solid marble (I think) it's chipped and a larger chunk was missing but good thing was that this was going to be hidden. The lamp base and center section were ridiculous to put together. The threading was not very good but after wiggling it back and forth and much swearing it finally came together. Trust me, I was determined because there was no way I could get this back in that mayhem of boxes. All that being said, I LOVE this lamp! It is absolutely perfect. My sofa sits low (2.5 inches from the ground) and this lamp base fits right underneath and in the corner. I was able to move the three arms to where I wanted them. It's great that I can turn one one, two or three lights at a time. I keep them all on and it lights up my room beautifully. I do recommend getting the light bulbs with the mirrored silver bottoms to reflect the light up and out. This is because I placed in the regular bulbs and it was like looking into the sun. But on the upside I think I may have gotten a nice tan.Overall, if you are looking for a nice statement piece that looks much more expensive than what this costs and need a good lighting source....you won't be disappointing in this lamp.

I guess I kinda like it....
I have mixed feelings about this lamp. Wasn't sure whether to give it 3 or 4 stars, it's more like 3 and a half. After reading the reviews, I was expecting this thing to be a pain to assemble...it really wasn't. It wasn't exactly "a breeze" to assemble and it did have it's frustrating points, but overall, not horrible. The worst part was trying to get the cords down inside the pole as you assembled it. Would be so much easier if the bottom 3 parts of the pole were just one piece. They could use less cord if they didn't have to accommodate the way the 3 parts are laid out in the box and it would save the customer from having to jam all that excess cord inside the pole during assembly. When I first saw the tiny, tiny little screws that secure the arc arms, I thought for sure they were going to be a pain, but they really were no problem at all. They stay seated on the included Allen wrench surprisingly well and tighten up easily. Once it's all together, it really is quite sturdy and the heavy base keeps it from tipping over. As far as the look of this lamp...I'm underwhelmed. It's a plain brown pole with some not so attractive burlap type shades. But it does look better when lit. On the plus side, it fit in the very limited space that I had for it, with the majority of the base sliding right underneath my chaise and the positioning and brightness of the light it provides is EXACTLY what I wanted for my reading corner. Not the too bright light of my ceiling fixture and not the too dim, never where I want it light of a table lamp. I used 40 watt equivalent LED bulbs. So overall....it gets a C+ for assembly and attractiveness but an A+ for functionality.
