Easy install. Plenty of storage. Fast.

This disc weighs less than a handful of feathers. Very easy to install. This SSD is the most cost effective upgrade that I have done. The change in computer performance is staggering, everything is now working much faster on my eight year old self build PC. I didn't use any of the utilities for imaging the disc, so can't comment.24/10/2019 - Purchased a 1TB SanDisk Plus for my very slow laptop. The positives first. Once fitted to my laptop it is now superfast, no need to be thinking about a new laptop. The Acronis WD free software cloned my original hard drive with no issues, it took about 1.5 hours to clone my drive with the new SSD disk connected via one of the laptop USB ports.The negatives - Support from SanDisk is not very good, contacted them a few times with various things to try when the SanDisk dashboard and the Acronis WD software wouldn't detect the SanDisk SSD drive when connected to any of my USB ports. After a bit of experimenting with different USB to SATA cables/cradles I finally managed to get the dashboard and Acronis to detect the SSD drive.Having read feedback from several Amazon customers and also on-line forums about the issues with using Acronis WD cloning software I'm really disappointed and surprised that the manufacturer hasn't addressed these issues.Anyway, once installed, well just wow describes my laptop performance boot up and shutdown times are amazing, all the Microsoft office software that once took ten's of seconds to open now opens in a blink.

Have recently purchased this, the SanDisk SSD PLUS 2 TB *AND* the SSD PLUS 1 TB drives.Both are being used for file storage only inside my PC. It's early days yet but both drives work fast when compared to the HDDs they replaced. I've read they're not the fastest drives around but I wanted them for space and to see no more HDDs being used. Neither holds the OS, which I've read could be a good thing.So, fast enough for me. Other, faster SSD drives I use for the OS and simple gaming.

This was bought as an upgrade to my wife's ageing laptop, which not having a lot of ram (only 8G) and a slow HDD was taking around 4 or 5 minutes to wake from hibernation and over 6 minutes to get a functioning desktop from a cold start.For some reason the disk didn't have any included cloning software and the packaging didn't indicate where it could be downloaded, I haven't seen anyone else mention this in the reviews so perhaps I was unlucky (or just incompetent and missed something), however I had some other free disk cloning software lying around which worked fine.Plugged the SSD into a spare external disk caddy and the cloning software took about 5 hours to clone the original laptop. Another 5 minutes to swap the disks around and the laptop booted up and worked perfectly.Boot time from cold is now down to about 40 seconds and waking from hibernation closer to 20 seconds so all in all a very successful and affordable upgrade with minimum fuss and bother.Just make sure that if you are upgrading an existing machine you might need to source some cloning software and a USB to SATA adapter as well.Money well spent on making my wife happy.
