It is a good starter for a 10 year old who is interested in robotics.
My granddaughter built the robot. She was so excited when she saw it work.

Big hit!
Every Christmas there’s one toy that gets played with for hours. This was it. The entire family sitting around the table building motorized robots. Great purchase!

Acceptable quality
Quality is not that good but there are not that much of other options so buy it if your kid is into STEM

Good idea, poor quality
Some robots were ok. Some, like the doodle robot were poor. It needed electrical connections but the included screws did not fit the terminals. Had to just twist the wires in the terminals and the connections were not stable. The motor mounts on the plate with foam tape that does not stick well. Frustrating for my grandson.

Surprised by great quality at this price
Yes it is good quality and fun, and fewer pieces than Lego -- you will just need a little screwdriver, which is included! But yes, grownups, this is electricity and your same-minute help will be needed when the kid gets stuck a couple of times. So, this kit is not for everyone: only buy if you remember the difference between the plus and the minus yourself... or if at least you are open to exploring it together with your kid when they get stuck.

Great, if you're a retired electrical engineer ...
Web page says for "6 7 8" year olds, but it also says for 8 to 12 year olds. Biggest problem is lack of supporting information or tips or secrets explaining how to assemble projects. Wires need to be tinned so that they can be inserted into clips easily. And the unnecessarily extremely small screws are nearly impossible to align with base plate holes under the hardware parts. Also, there's no explanation which of the two sizes of holes to use on the base plate. I've found the secret to success is to be a retired electrical engineer, starting early in the evening when you still have patience, having a nice magnifying glass nearby, then fully assembling the projects, then loosening the screws and unclip the tinned wires before having my 6yo granddaughter put it together. The projects themselves are great.
