Reliable Power for Passive Subwoofers
The subwoofer amp has proven to be a game-changer for my home theater setup, providing reliable and efficient power to passive subwoofers.I stumbled upon this amp almost two years ago and paired it with a passive subwoofer I found at a thrift store. To this day, it continues to perform flawlessly, delivering impressive sound quality without any hiccups. The amp’s durability and consistent performance have been truly commendable.Encouraged by its performance, I recently acquired another one to power an additional subwoofer. Once again, it exceeded expectations, showcasing the same reliable power output and sound quality as the first unit. One of the most noteworthy aspects of this amp is its versatility in power sources. I’ve successfully powered these amps using laptop chargers, making it an incredibly convenient and cost-effective solution for powering passive subs in a home theater setup. This method has proven to be the best way to power passive subs, offering both efficiency and ease of setup. In summary, this subwoofer amp has been a reliable powerhouse for my passive subwoofers, delivering consistent performance and sound quality. Its compatibility with laptop chargers for power makes it a cost-effective and practical choice for anyone seeking to enhance their home theater’s audio experience.

Great value.
Works very well. Gain control is a bit sensitive but once a good setting was found my subwoofer works great. Saved an old sub from the trash.

Great way to save an old subwoofer
I had a subwoofer that the amp went out on. Could have thrown away the subwoofer, but the speaker and case were still in great shape. Simply opened up the old subwoofer; disconnected the speaker/wire from the old amp; connected the speaker wires to the output on this amp; plugged in power and adjusted the output level. I bought this one so I could put it INSIDE the old subwoofer and make holes in the old panel to fit this one into. If you're not into that, you can always buy the same version inside of a small case and use it as an external amp. Same thing. Just need to run the speaker wires out of the old subwoofer to this. Excellent. Very please. I don't think I'd try maxing out the 100 watts. But so far so good.

Not very convinced
I used it in my car as a replacement for the original factory amplifier. The truth is that it behaves wonderfully. It doesn't get hot. It can last for hours working. I think it's worth what it's worth, although I don't know if the 100 watts it promises are real, I have no idea if it's real or not. But if it works well I would give it 5 stars but the pins are very fragile and when I was connecting the solder tracks they broke almost to the point Of no longer sercur But I managed to recover the tracks and soldered some cables to connect the subwoofer.

Impressed
Paired this 100W subwoofer amp with a 6.5 inch subwoofer I picked up from Goodwill for $6. Even though the sub was powered, there was no way to use it without its companion soundbar. So I pulled out the amp and 3D printed a small enclosure to hold this new amp and it worked out great. The sub is rated at 90W and 4 ohms and this amp can easily push it to its limits. I bought a decent 24V/6A switching power supply from Amazon too for about the same $. Great combo. If you've got a dead subwoofer somewhere, this amp will bring it back to life. Enough bass to shake the whole house. The crossover adjustment is a nice touch too, so it's not full range like most amps. I've got it dialed all the way down though, as it sounded best at its lowest crossover point. Got plans to measure its frequency response and total output power here soon. Once I do I'll update this review. But even without the measurements, for the money, this amp pushes hard. Get a good power supply, and I don't think it can be beat. The TPA3116 TI chip amp is pretty impressive to say the least.

Strange control interaction
Running into a non-inductive 4 ohm load using REW for frequency response measurement I found a curious interaction between the crossover setting knob and the level knob. With a low input level setting the low pass filter exhibits a 6dB/octave slope that ranges from about a -3dB at 100Hz at the lowest knob setting to -3dB at 250 Hz at the highest. Nowhere near the 20Hz-160Hz range advertised. As the input level control is increased a curious hump appears in roughly the 120Hz region. This is of course only one set of results, and I suggest taking your own measurements to see what the actual performance of the crossover control is in your system.

Excellent For The Price
I used one of these to convert an Amazon Echo subwoofer to a generic wired sub. The amp worked perfectly with the built-in 24v Echo power supply.

Good 'ol 5 stars, so far so good...
...been burn-in'ing it. Pretty beefy little beast, and been using it on a 6ohm/5.5ohm resistance 50wRMS woofer, in a bandpass enclosure (sealed/vented, reconfigured for lower Hz output)). The amp is more than enough, feeding it with a 12v/5a power supply (decent one, true to rating, no junk here). Also, have on order a newer woofer, more suited to the enclosure (will give more punch, but still play low, no more muddin' out lowend). The onboard Xover is halfway decent.MblTchXprt
