It is a very nice, low-budget option for the E-mu Teak headband cover. It does not add to comfort but does not ruin it either. It is good for protecting the headband from wear.

I wanted extra wear protection on one pair of heavy use headphones, and I've another pair, whose manufacturer put the cable on the right, but that I use with VR goggles that expect the industry standard left side connection. (some companies are switching headphone models aimed at the smartphone market to right side cables & controls to assist folks who've neglected the functionality that their left hand could otherwise easily learn to accommodate). These headbands work well for both needs, added wear protection, and as a cable conduit, transferring the plug from the right side to the left side. While this fabric is much more comfortable than an actual hand woven (macrame) band, that totally home brewed look of actual rope, best suits my own fancy. I wouldn't know how to aesthetically weave that together, so this is still a great second option.
