We bought this vest to wear with our bee keeping suit. It did NOT work for that because it will not go over the top of the suit. It would work with a velcro shoulder closure. The good part is the cold packs work. In the summer we put them in the pockets of the suit. Even after an hour or so, they are barely thawed. The pockets do get a little damp. I would not use it directly against my skin. But they definitely allow us to work in the summer heat in our heavy bee keeper suits.

Absolute garbage!!! They should've just mailed it directly to the dump and saved everyone any trouble. There are no velcro tabs to pull on to secure the front to the back. The back and front secure directly to themselves so you can get one side done and the other side has a 6 inch gap or more. The cooling bags come with instructions that are written in some Asian language that's indecipherable if you don't know that language. I had to go back to customer reviews to figure out that you just put it in a bowl of water and let it sit and it magically fills. BUT, if you let it sit too long it fills with too much water and then when you handle it, it bursts at the seams and a clear goo gets all over everything. Just stay away!!! I would give it negative 5 stars. How about that Amazon? how about setting up a 10 star rating with 5 positive and 5 negative? That way these garbage products would get the reviews they actually deserve.

This ice pack cooling vest actually works, but I think because of the type of gel packs used, it only lasts for a couple of hours. Your body heat will thaw the packs out pretty quick. If you have better packs that fit, you may get it to last longer. It came in handy for the few hours of warehouse work that I do before getting on road. By then, the packs are no longer cold. Also it runs small. The velcro straps on the sides are short, so your options are to just let it drape on you front and back, or purchase your own velcro straps to extend the straps and make a more secure fit. I would give 3 1/2 stars due to those two issues. But it did actually keep me cool for about 3 hours of constant moving and working in a warm warehouse.

It’s cheaply made I bought it knowing that. I juz wanted to test how does it feels it’s very very nice I used inside my motorcycle gears coming home from work its 90s outside nyc 6/26/24. Peoples looking at me like crazy I have full gears at 90s degrees but I was really really comfortable haha. The vest I had to cut the upper straps cuz it don’t fit me I’m 5”9 182lbs. If only they made better straps but oh well. I’m going use it for work and I bought a diff vest better quality for using on motorcycles and bicycle riding. Ice vest must have for summer for sure.!

I thought the ice packs were pretty neat cuz they come flat then they freeze I never physically got to put them in the vest because I said something to my safety liaison and he said it's probably not you know regulated or something

I live in florida. This best definitely cools me down. The size is a little awkward maybe I'm just too fat LOL. So the velcro doesn't work too well I can't get it to close. It does call me down though. My brother has MS. His cools him down also. He is able to go outside now.

The media could not be loaded. The ice packs that come with this have the dumbest design - they’re a gel powder in a mesh packet. You soak the ice packs in a bowl of water so that the mesh lets the water in to mix with the gel powder and become gel. Then you freeze it.The problem is… the water is only kept in by attractive force between the water and gel powder molecules, from having been mixed with the gel powder. It comes right back out of the mesh if you squeeze it / put pressure on it a little. So if you wear your vest and the ice packs get even a little melty, and you lean on something or put pressure on it in any way…… gel-water leaks out of the mesh. Super unsanitary and messy and possibly dangerous depending on what the gel is made of. I couldn’t believe that was really the design when I first got it, but I messaged the seller and they sent me instructions making it clear that’s how these “work”. An absolute failure in engineering.
