Great gate for the top of my stairs. Looks great and doesn't stand out as a pet gait at all. Very sturdy and locks/closing mechanisms work great.

I would highly recommend this pet gate since it is very versátile, and functional. It has many lenghts it can be adaptaded. Looks very nice since it simulates wood. The instructions are a bit confusing at first, but you"ll make it through the end

I normally never leave reviews but I love this gate that much. After trying to buy a gate from Safety1st only to have it delivered broken twice because it was so chintzy I decided to search elsewhere only to come across this beautiful gate. Pictures do not do it justice. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but it is well-made, strong and sturdy. It’s not only great for our newly one year-old, but for our dogs too. I promise you can’t go wrong with this gate. Do yourself a favor and buy it already. You will not be disappointed. PS I love it so much I just bought another.

I like the high end look of this gate for a not high end price point. The gate is easy to open and close (once you figure out the tension needed and it’s a lot!). I’m pretty good at following instructions and assembling things I buy, but these instructions suck. It’s pretty straight forward if you don’t need the extenders - but if you do, you figure it out by trial and error. The extender pieces aren’t labeled so it’s a guessing game as to which one you need where - but once you figure it out the gate does work nicely. Also, it comes with what looks like drywall screws- but there is no place noticeable to put them…..so clue what those are meant for. It is solely held in place by tension - so I don’t know how this will hold up over time as it’s in a frequently used part of the house.

This gate is so appealing in our home. Love it so much.

I had to give up on the assembly. Pieces don't fit together. Some pieces are already assembled making it seem like they are a single piece until after 2 hours of taking it apart and trying over and over to fit it together, I realized that the2 pieces I was using were really 4 parts. If they would have included, like most instruction brochures, the list of parts, it would have saved me a lot of time and aggravation. I thought I would have to ask for more parts. Now I can't get it to fit properly in the hallway. If I do eventually get it together and even if I love it, this was such a horrible project that I will only give it a single star. BTW...that "wrench" that they include doesn't work. You need to use a pliers.

The media could not be loaded. Directions need to be better. See the attached photo for example.I put the deal together and it wasn't latching. Well, thats because you have to put so much pressure it bends the metal to fit the latch. Then it works.This was enough pressure to separate my wall from the stairs

Had read mixed reviews about the install process. Found a video or two on the web that demonstrated the ‘tricky’ part about adding an extention. It was quite straightforward, Pop the plastic piece for the tensioner out by prying with a straight slot screwdriver, slip the extension in, and pop the tensioner retainer into the extension piece.
