The best beach umbrella RIO
My family has tried several different brands at the NJ beaches. Rio was recommended as the best. So I got the turquoise/lime model with no anchor. (I bought the anchor stand separately because I did not like the anchor style that came with the other color.) This umbrella has heavy metal bars inside the umbrella top that are much stronger than the thin metal spokes that a lot of brands have. This is key. It is sturdy and did not sway in the wind. The top has a wind gusset so the wind blows through it. It does not tilt, but I don't need that. It is hard to push open and click into place. I had to have a guy push it up. But I think that will loosen over time. Easy fold up and insert into carry bag. The strap to the carry bag is way too thin. The model my family has had for a couple year, the strap broke off so I suspect mine will too at some point. The whole bag and umbrella is light enough for me to carry to the beach.

Sturdy Beach Umbrella!
Those Tommy Bahama beach umbrellas that have flooded the market and seen in Costco are no-match to this one!PROS:First off, this beach umbrella has corrosion-resistant powder-coated steel pole and ribs while the competition like Tommy Bahama are made out of plastic! This comes with an integrated anchor so setting it up is quite easy.Has a carrying bag which makes it easy to carry the umbrella around the beach and transport to all your favorite outdoor spots and stored neatly after use. This 7' umbrella Offers UPF 50+ protection and features a stylish stripe design that makes it easy to mark your spot on the beach or stay shaded on your patio.CONSIt's a little heavy due to the fact its not made out of plastic! But the carrying case mitigates the load and you can sling it on your shoulder.I would Recommend this product and would definitely buy-it-again (if needed).

well made
Well made with solid support ribs. Stands up to brisk winds with no "inside out" issues. Great beach umbrella.

Wind resistant!
This is the best umbrella I’ve ever owned. The thick spines make it wind resistant. It’s easy to put in the sand with fold out handles. It doesn’t have a tilt mechanism but it’s a good trade off for the wind resistance. Not too expensive either. It is heavier than other umbrellas I have owned but the sturdiest. It has good sun protection and provides nice shade.

Not Your Average Cheap Beach Umbrella
I bought this beach umbrella simply because I needed something for a week long vacation that was cheap (it would have to be left behind after) and could be shipped on time to my vacation destination. Imagine my surprise when this umbrella turned out to be cheap only in terms of price—definitely not the average $25 umbrella. It is sturdy, attractive, has a handy sand screw, UPF fabric, travel bag, AND most importantly stood up easily to 24 mph winds at the beach! Amazingly, it didn’t move at all even though our chairs started blowing away! I ended up getting home from vacation and ordering a second one for my local beach. Definitely recommend!

Sturdy Umbrella
This is the sturdiest umbrella I’ve ever used. It stays planted in windy weather and is easy to screw in the sand. I’ll be buying a second one for our time in Florida. Worth every penny 😊

Good Beach Umbrella
The construction is such that it does not blow out of the sand on a windy day — very reliable & easy to get into the sand. This is about our 3rd or 4th one over many years — canvass material excellent & a good size! Colors vibrant! Easy to carry! Good/complete shade!

WEAK LOCK JOINT
My umbrella broke down and the spring that holds the umbrella open failed and fell into the pole and now my umbrella does not stay open. The upper part of the umbrella also flew away and I had to basically create a safety pin by drilling a hole on the joint section by to be able to pass through a bolt to prevent the upper part of the umbrella to fly away.Another point is that the colors of the umbrella is not accurate. The umbrella pole is not the same color of the picture. I ordered the turquoise umbrella (I expected a white pole) but the pole came with the same color of the umbrella. The construction (arms) appear to be solid but I am not sure about the remaining parts such as the spring that holds the canopy open and the lever holds by pressure the upper part of the umbrella.I really hope there is a warranty for this umbrella because I would be very dissapointed if this is not taken care by the manufacturer since I really like majority of the construction. To summary my recommendations to the manufacturer:- Create a safety pin to prevent the upper portion of the umbrella to fly away.- Revise the construction of the spring and joint that keeps the umbrella open- Ensure colors (or at least pictures) accurately matches the description.
