Does the same job as more expensive cleansing balm. Excellent value for money
I've bought this a few times now. After spending 8 years buying fairly expensive cleansing balms I found this and thought I'd give it a go. It does EXACTLY the same job as more expensive products except it doesn't have ingredients that are good for your skin. As a beauty therapist I have to say, though, fancy ingredients in a cleansing balm aren't going to do anything cos the molecules will simply be too large to penetrate the epidermis (1st layer of skin). I use this and an array of The Ordinary serums and an expensive retinol. I use eyeko waterproof mascara because I suffer from watery eyes now, U can shower with this mascara on and it'll stay put (believe me cos I tried it as a test lol) and, this balm removes even the most waterproof of mascara and it doesn't sting your eyes. I follow with a cream cleansing wash in the evening to ensure my makeup is completely removed but, in the morning I only use the cleansing balm as it leaves your skin feeling soft and moisturised. It also lasts for ages and at £2.50 (compared to others costing up to £27) I can afford to buy a few at a time so I don't run out. The only downside is the plastic tub because I used an eco friendly one for a while in a glass jar with metal lid but, I don't have the money to keep buying that so I will only have to hope my plastic recycling does, indeed, get recycled.

STRAIGHT IN THE BIN
This is truly terrible and I'm sorry I didn't read the reviews before I purchased. I've used other products from face facts and ive really enjoyed them so I assumed this would be great as well. How wrong I was! It's so thick, doesn't melt down well, it's awful at taking your make up off (I wear heavy make up) and it stays on your skin even after double cleansing, I had to scrub a few times with a foaming face wash to get rid of the residue it leaves behind. And to top it off it broke me out! AVOID!!!!

Very pleased
This is a very thick cleanser, but the clue is in the word 'balm'! I've found that warming it a little between my fingers before applying helps to stop it being so thick, and then spread it thinly before massaging it over my skin.I've found that the best way to remove this cleansing balm is to use the reusable cleansing pads that are available. The fabric seems to cope better with the texture of the balm, whereas cotton wool pads just fall apart or stick to it. I even found that the reusable pads meant I could use a small amount of the balm to remove eye makeup and mascara. Although it's heavy, my eyes weren't left sore. I use a foaming cleanser and a linen face cloth to remove any residue and so far I've had no problems with having any left to leave my face feeling sticky. I then apply my usual moisturiser and so far my skin has felt lovely. As someone just short of 60 whose skin hasn't worn so well, I have found that the thicker texture of this cleanser has worked really well on my older, drier and thinner skin. I use it twice a week and a cleansing milk the rest of the time and my skin feels much less dry. For the price, I'm very pleased with this product, especially as a little really does go a long way.

I was warned
I read the reviews that this was difficult to remove but I asked myself, how hard could it be? The price was super tempting.Crazy hard is the answer. I double cleanse and use a soft microfiber towel and to get this off my skin I need to use the next cleanser twice since it’s so thick. It does get makeup off so it does its job but then getting this product off your skin becomes the next task.

Like rubbing vaseline on your face!!
I used this last night to take my makeup off and it is horrible! It feels as though you are smearing vaseline all over your face and it doesn't break down with water ot left my hands and face feeling very greasy and the flannel had a build up white grease left over it and it wouldn't even wash out of my flannel 🤢 I DO NOT recommend

Not a good product !!!! 😒
Bought because it was only £2.50,curious to try instead of my usual go to.Very small tub.Product was very waxy on skin, didn't wash off well so had to go over it with a foaming cleanser.I'll stick to Give me or elf cosmetics in future .
