I really like this lampshade, but it is completely unusable thanks to the very obvious quarter-inch gap at the seam. It really could have used another 2-3 bamboo reeds in there so it could be a complete shade. I do like the printed bird pattern and the bamboo-reed texture. Buyers should note that this is a top-mount shade and does have a distinct right-side up due to the pattern. Might work if it will be in a corner, but as mine was intended to be on a pendant the gap makes it completely unusable.

I love the bamboo and the colors but unfortunately it’s upside down so the birds and trees are facing the wrong way.

I have a floor lamp. It's just a basic pole with a single bulb at the top. It used to have a midcentury style square shade to give it some style. That shade did not last a move. I was looking for a replacement shade, but I could not find a similar one. When I saw this shade, I fell in love with the color and pattern, so I figured I'd give it a try.I had to remove all the shade holding equipment that was existing on the floor lamp to install this. But I put the metal loop around the bulb holder, and it just stayed. I put the bulb back in, and it was perfect! The shade is well balanced and wide, and it adds so much class and attractiveness to the lamp that would have been destined for the dumpster. It looks brand new now. The pink, kind of a coral - salmon shade is my favorite color. The light going through the shade is beautifully muted. When the light is on, you can't really see the pattern of the birds on the shade. I love the art style of the birds and plants. Originally, I thought the birds were wild turkeys. They're not, though. I can't identify exactly what species they are, but they are elegant and beautiful.This shade is more expensive than the cheap floor lamp I put it on, but it changed the overall aesthetic of the lamp and made it much more sophisticated. I love the styling of this shade. It seems to be well made, with solid metal holders and a stiff, pleated shade material.
