Sonos Sub (Gen 3) - Wireless Subwoofer Black

Takes watching a film or listening to music to a different level. I found it hard to justify the purchase because of the price, and kept putting it off, but glad I caved in and bought one.

So I like many others debated long and hard about getting this. I have a Sonos Arc and 2 surrounds so I thought- why do I need a Sub? Surely this is enough.I was wrong, very wrong. The Sub adds a huge effect to the overall sound and appears to free up the other speakers to give greater detail on the soundstage. I watched the Council of Elrond in LOTR and when Gandalf speaks the room was utterly filled.The only downside is the price and it’s an utter dust magnet. I had some difficulty installing it as the app would not recognise it, but I got there with some perseverance and swearing.

The sound of this subwoofer connected to a sonas beam and two speakers is awesome

betreibe in einem raum ca. 20m2, eine tv mit sonos arc, 2 one, und 1 sub 2 generation jetzt mit 2tem sub 3 generation..nur so funktionieren 2 subs..leider kein 2ter sub 2 generation möglich in dieser konstellation...absolut super sound !!!

We have been enjoying our Sonos Sub for 2 little over 2 months now.Just wanted to share a few observations for those who are looking to make the "investment".Pros:+ Very simple to install - specially if this is not your first Sonos product+ Great sound quality - noticeable difference with playbar only set up, specially when playing musicals and classical music (not much of difference while playing everyday TV quite honestly). It creates an amazing depth in the sound and truly fills the room (we have it placed in a family room that is 15 x 18 ft with high ceiling)+ Slick design - the lines are very elegant and the O shape makes it interesting+ Quality materials - you can tell from the moment it comes out the box, sturdy and well assembledCons:+ Very heavy - you will quickly notice will trying to move the box (or at least i did...)+ Large - this sub is taller than other in the market (e.g., bose) so even if slick and elegant design it can feel like another piece of small furniture (like a side table)Overall, I would buy it again in a heartbeat. Good value for money.

Tengo una barra beam y sentía que le faltaban "bajos". Después de mucho pensarlo e investigar y aprovechando la oferta que hubo, me decidí a comprar este sub.A continuación mis impresiones de este sobresaliente producto.Pros:La instalación es muy sencilla, sólo sigues los pasos en la app para "emparejar" con tu sistema Sonos, en mi caso con la BEAM.La caja, presentación y todo es de equipo premium, como buen SONOS, eso sí, lo bueno cuesta.El "bajeo" que da es impresionante, la app te da la opción de controlar el nivel del subwoofer, pero en general es sobresaliente cómo cambia el sonido a comparación de la simple barra.Al encargarse del bajeo tu barra (beam,Playbar) o bocinas de voz las podrás ecualizar para que sólo den eso, pura voz sin bajo, resultando un mejor sonido.Estéticamente es muy bonito, yo lo había visto sólo en fotos y creía que estaba chico pero no, parece un gabinete de CPU pero en acabado piano, por las fotos parece pequeño pero no lo es y pesa bastante pero se acomoda fácilmente, tanto en horizontal como vertical, puedes con la app acomodar el "phase control" por si lo pones en horizontal o vertical, no "cartonea" nunca ni vibra. Lo malo es que ese acabado piano se ensucia muy fácilmente, SONOS manda un trapo para limpiarlo por lo mismo.Cons:El bajeo es tan bueno que siento que ahora me falta más voz, supongo que con la barra más potente de Sonos Playbar debe escucharse mejor, creo que compraré los "satélites" en un futuro, un par de Sonos SL (la que es sin micrófono porque la BEAM ya tiene Alexa) para ahora sí llenar el sonido con un 5.1Por lo mismo del bajeo, es muy probable que retumben las paredes alrededor de tu casa/depa/edificio, yo lo tengo en un lugar donde no tengo vecinos pero retumba toda la casa y mis "roomies" (familia) me dicen que se escucha mucho jajaja, me imagino que en un departamento más justo debe sonar en todo el edificio! Literal te van a correr por el sonidazooo!!! jajajaConclusión:Sí te gusta el buen sonido cómpralo!!!! Me parece que el precio normal está un "poco" inflado (como todo lo de SONOS) pero si la ves con descuento te la recomiendo mucho!Mi calificación, 5 ESTRELLAS!

This sub is like a piece or art in my home. It's heavy and seems really well built. Sounds awesome. Works seamlessly with my Sonos system. It is super pricey though. I'm honestly not sure it's quite worth what they are asking. For me it was a splurge. If you're okay with the price, its a cool, high quality addition to your home.

I have been wanting to add this sub to my SONOS system for quite some time, and that was my first and only mistake. I should have added this to my SONOS system long ago.The sound is incredibly immersive. I thought the SONOS satellites and sound bar sounded amazing by themselves (and they do), but this sub compliments them and takes the experience to a whole new level. The kids and I immediately began playing bass-heavy movie scenes (T-Rex scene in Jurassic Park; flight scene in Big Hero 6, etc.) and were wowed by how well every sound came together. The sub produces a very clean low that compliments the sound bar's highs - the balance is perfect and my guess is some balancing magic took place during set up.Speaking of setting up, it took 3 minutes. Once I had the sub placed and plugged in, I opened the SONOS app on my phone and pressed the button on the side of the sub when directed. After a quick software update, it was paired with my other speakers and blowing us away.After being impressed with the movie scenes, I streamed my Spotify library through the system and asked myself why on earth I had waited so long. Yes, the sub is expensive, but I am already planning to purchase another one or two for other SONOS systems I have throughout the house. It is that good, and very much worth the value.
