Delicious
I've tried various makes of biltong but find them either too salty or over seasoned.Embers original recipe was absolutely perfect..

Great taste, good value & also great for KETO!
Firstly, buy with confidence, as the overall value is good.Taste:Really great taste, you get a very meaty taste straight off the bat, with a well seasoned second taste. For me I certainly got the cloves, and coriander although there are other spices there too. Not a "bloody" taste in the sense of blood, its a mature meaty taste with a good depth of flavor.Ingredients:Better than the normal branded supermarket run of the mill Biltong. I am on the KETO diet where no or little carbs are important. an per 100g there are 0.6 grams, and for 28g there are 0.2 grams, and take note that these are 28g packs the carb count is very low! with good fat content and protein alike. So in terms of my go-to snack, this is healthy.Price:through this seller -10 x 28g = 280 @ £16.99 (reduced from £19.99 - so price may go back up), £1.69 per 28g pack (reduced price) and £1.99 at full price (at which I paid), of which I am happy to pay due to the convenience, along side the taste etc, ingredients and packaging.Buy direct -15 x 28g = 420 @ 27.99, which is £1.86 per 28g pack (slightly cheaper if sold on Amazon at £19.99) - slightly more expensive but not a lot.Overall good value and not overpriced at all, which means good value for money. For me, I am happy with the product, and I normally grab a pack in the evening a couple of hours before bed knowing that 28g of a health product is good for me. So I will definitely purchase again.

Amazing product, but changed recipe makes me wonder.
I loved this product, I thought it was the best jerky I have ever tasted - my amazon account tells me that I bought it 11 times in just a couple of years. However, come 2024, I think the recipe has been changed, it tastes a lot drier and saltier and I am going to search for alternatives - it is just not the same somehow. The difference was very noticeable, it used to taste wholesome and healthy, it now tastes like I should not eat it for the salt and whatever else.

Definitely Worth A Try
I have only tried one other brand prior to this and it was The Biltong Man, therefore please bear in mind that this is just my personal opinion as I draw comparisons between the two brands. The Biltong Man's brand is a harder darker product which is nice, however I personally prefer the slightly lighter redder and softer product from Ember which I do believe is more finely cut and holds a more subtle flavour. Don't get me wrong, I find no fault in the other brand, however, as both products are possibly heated and dried, I do surmise that the redder softer is possibly fresher. When I say softer, I mean its texture and hardness is almost between that of The Biltong Man biltong and the Wildwest beef jerky perhaps due to the finer cuts which I thoroughly enjoyed. Although not British, I have lived in the UK for most of my life and I must admit I have bought into the whole British and Irish beef preference, so this is an advantage in my opinion as well. If memory serves me correctly, the Ember bags are easier to reseal which makes it easier for snacking for somebody like myself. Now then, comparisons aside, if you do decide to give the Ember Chili Beef biltong a try then remember to give the bag a shake as the spices that really add the extra flavour to this biltong have a tendency to settle on the bottom of the bag otherwise.I hope my review has helped to provide a deeper insight into the product and supported the company by doing so, Ember has something very good going here, please keep it up.

Disappointed
Really disappointed. This brand has prioritised profit over quality. They used to make the best beef jerky I’ve ever tried, now they’re the same quality as the rubber rubbish you find hanging in the middle isles of the supermarket.
