Perfect Protection
We buy this every year because it does the job. The holes in this net are perfect for keeping out those pesky butterflies, but actually the holes are so fine that very little gets into our vegetable patch. The material covers a vast space and is rigid enough to handle and manipulate while being easy to cut. With quick delivery and great service, this will help to ensure you get a bumper crop in the autumn.

Yellow? More like green!
"This product is bright yellow in colour." I think someone needs their eyes tested! It's actually a lime colour, but never mind!Looks very durable and plasticy. I'd bought this product to chop up and use as a lining in some 20cm square pots I'd bought from Amazon a while ago as the holes at the bottom are a bit too big and the compost falls out. Hopefully the mesh holes are large enough for drainage but they are tiny!Shame to hack this up as it has been finished off neatly around the edges of the netting and hemmed.

Protection against insects
This is a long insect protection mesh which has certainly done the job on my allotment. So far no insects have attacked my cabbages. The mesh is very well made and looks like it can be used many times. To use the mesh, I planted my cabbages and other vegetables in slits in landscaping sheet so that I did not have to keep lifting the mesh. I pushed canes into the ground, topped them with yogurt pots and then tied string through the pots joining each of the canes. The mesh then sat on top and dropped around the side to form a net over my vegeratbles. Because this is a very fine mesh it will move in high winds and so needs canes and stones to hold down the sides. You can see all of your plants through the mesh.

Excellent, highly practical product.
I am a dedicated gardener who for years used fleece to protect my plants. However, this mesh is infinitely more practical: it's a huge amount for your money ( I can cover at least three raised beds with it), it's sufficiently heavy not to be blown away even if you don't weigh it down, it lets in rain and hose water and diffuses it onto your plants, and there is no loss of sun if you are lucky enough to enjoy good weather where you are. (West Wales living means an incredibly beautiful landscape caused by lots and lots of said rain, so mesh is ideal for our weather). Our resident wild creatures haven't succeeded in working out how to get through the barrier it provides, so my raspberry crop is safe yet again. However, remember that if you have a crop which needs pollination, you need to uncover your plants for a part of the day. Would thoroughly recommend.

not the same as the picyure
Picture shows metal hoops to form the netting, but only netting is supplied.

Very fine net. It should keep insects off my brassicas
Very fine net. It should keep insects off my brassicas. I have made a long tent-like structure over my kale but I'm just a bit worried about watering as most of the water runs off down the sides. Some does get through but whether it's enough time will tell. Maybe you are just supposed to lay it over the plants but that seems to flatten them.

Fine mesh works
The fine mesh is effective at keeping butterflies, (& therefore caterpillars), off your greens. However, the quality is not brilliant. I removed it from the packaging for the first time about 4 weeks ago, having purchased it some months previously, and one edge was badly frayed and had a small hole in it.

Used as a small pond netting...
Bought this to protect a small pond/waterfall (1.5m x 2.5m) over winter from leaf fall as it is under a large willow tree and will alleviate the usual spring clear out and the rotting mess festering at the bottom of the pond. Just ideal this netting - the hole size is very small so nothing will get through it apart the rain and wind and the total size is large and easily covers the pond twice over. It also has some loops at the ends to put supporting cane through if this is used for it's intended purpose. The only criticism I would make is it should be dark green instead of the bright lime green to better blend in with the surrounding garden, otherwise it's great value against what else is available at this time I found and it perfect for what I bought it for!
