New and Selected Poems by Mary Oliver. Volume one.
I love this book. It is thick but not dense. The poems are laid out beautifully and I LOVE the poems of Mary Oliver, they are so personal and wonderfully observed.

Wonderful, Inspiring and Thought-Provoking Poems
Mary Oliver's 'New and Selected Poems' contains some wonderful and inspiring pieces including several of my favourite poems of Ms Oliver's such as: 'Wild Geese', 'The Sun', 'Morning','The Eskimos Have No Word For War, 'The Lamps' and 'The Black Walnut Tree', and others that I don't remember having seen before and some that are sharper and more thought-provoking such as: 'A Bitterness', 'Rage' and 'Acid' - and like another reviewer writing here, my copy is littered with post-its marking the pages of the poems that have 'spoken' to me. As it says on the cover of my copy: "Poems are like companions...they accompany you wherever the journey might lead" and I am looking forward to buying volume two to accompany this one. Highly recommended.5 Stars.

Astonishing, beautiful and true - a volume to treasure
It's taken me probably a year or more to finish the whole volume (I'm a slow reader, especially of poetry) but my copy now has a frill of post-its sticking out of the edges, marking all the poems I particularly loved. I'm astonished that I'd never heard of Mary Oliver until I bought this book - shows my ignorance, I guess. I'm so looking forward to diving into volume 2. Along with Billy Collins she is now one of my very favourite poets.

Wonderful poems - the best I've read on nature and our human contact with it. I wish I had discovered Mary Oliver years ago. Good too that the font size is reasonably large. It would be great if book reviewers could give some idea of font size in books that they purchase, as it's not possible to tell, even when the book has the 'Look inside' facility. I decided to take a chance on this one, and wasn't disappointed.

Beautiful beautiful poetry.
I love the poetry of Mary Oliver, I don't know how I discovered her work but am so grateful I did. The two volumes are masterpieces that will appeal to a mainstream and nondual audiences. These two volumes are among my most treasured books.

Not a book but a printed bunch of papers
Mary Oliver is a genius. You can be more or less close to her poetics, but she has surely “that little something”. My complaints are addressed to the edition. There is something called “publishing” and there is something called “printing”. This “book”, although the term is too generous for the case, belongs to the second category. I don’t know if I should read it or use it to fix a leaning piece of furniture. This should be warned by Amazon. I don’t have a printer myself but in case I had, I’d rather have printed some poems from the internet that buying this bunch of papers put together.
