The humble coloured pencil. Many of us left them behind when we left school, but they are still a great tool for an artist, be it for use as an outline or a full sketch. This collection of 'Spectrum Noir Colorista Coloured Pencils' are different as you get a ranges that cover aspects of shades. In this case 'Floral Sensation' has some light yellow and berry colours that you would expect to see in a meadow at the height of summer.To call yourself a pack for over 14+ is a big call as you are moving towards people looking to do real art and not just colour for fun. The packs are all different shades and are fantastic for the beginner or the enthusiast. Up to A-Level this pencil set will work perfectly, but as someone who has tried top end artist pencils, they do not quite have the strength of lead and granularity needed. If you plan to sketch out a guide, they will work. You will also need to buy other packs to get all the colours you require or end up using some you already have.At the current three pound price point, these are good value pencils, not all the shades that you will need or the very highest of quality, but certainly a lovely collection for someone wanting to sketch the flowers in their garden.

These coloured pencils are good. They come in lots of different colours with some unusual ones in there too. Nice to hold and easy to sharpen. Great for creative types over the holidays
