Fantastic for diabetic cats
My cat was recently diagnosed as diabetic and I was advised by my vet to switch her food to a diabetic diet alongside insulin.Cats need more protein and less carbohydrates. My cat has both wet and dry food in her diet. These tins are great. They come in almost a mousse like consistency. I get 4 meals out of 1 tin as she gets a quarter of a tin on a morning or night. You can wrap the tin in cling film and store it in the fridge no worries.I like to mix the mousse until it becomes a soft consistency for my cat to eat. She wolfs it down. She prefers this to her old 'normal' food. I use it as a distraction whilst injecting her with insulin as she eats as she doesn't notice her injection then (plus a cat has to have food with their insulin injections so they don't become hypoglycaemic).Yes, it's expensive - it works out as about £3 a tin. But if you manage to get 4 meals per tin, it's about 52p per meal and 24 tins should last you a few months. My cat enjoys it - so it gets a thumbs up from me!

Made my diabetic cat vomit, not great after insulin!!
I bought this for my diabetic cat. He's been diabetic for about 3 years, and I've used a variety of diabetic foods. As he likes pate, this seemed perfect, and was on offer. I gradual added it to his food over several days, and he started having diarrhoea. One night, something made me go check him as he seemed a bit off, and he'd vomited all over the floor. This was after he'd had his insulin, which then put him at rough of being hypo. I had to stay up for an hour then give him some different food, check his blood glucose, and thankfully he didn't commit again. That's really not good for a diabetic cat!Thinking it was a one off, I offered him some more a couple of days later in the daytime so I could monitor him, and he wouldn't eat it all. My other cat did eat what was left and the following day vomited and had diarrhoea. So if you try this, be very careful! If a diabetic cats vomits after food and insulin, it can be a medical emergency.I also have the sachets of this brand, and it's far from appealing. As a former vet nurse, I thankfully know what to do if he has a hypo, but it's not a position they should ever be in because of the food.

Good quality Diabetic mousse for cats
I have ordered this product severa times for my Diabetic cat and she likes this. The tin lasts for two feeds so is quite economical and has a soft creamy sort of texture which is appealing for cats. I will definitely be reordering for my cat in the future. This also comes as dry cat food, which is also very good. Thank you. Le Petit Chat Noir

Cat loves this food
My diabetic cat absolutely loves this food and eats every morsel, it is moist in texture and a mousse appearance, good quality , must smell tempting as a fussy eater.
