Hang ten with this Joe.
Classified Rock N' Roll was definitely one of the new figures I wanted to get my hands on this year. I'm glad I waited for awhile after he was released because Amazon was selling him 12% off the regular retail price which made it even better getting him. He has a nice pack of accessories that makes him great for additional replayability and photography poses. He has a sidearm pistol for his thigh holster, a large machine gun with detachable ammo box, ammo belt for extended magazine, army helmet that has "Hang Ten" written on, radio that can be attached to the back of the belt and two alternate hands (right closed-fist and left tattoo devil horn sign). I like that the tattoos around his arms and devil horn sign hand adds more personality to this figure as it fits well with his original vintage version's file card. My main gripe is the large machine gun has the same gummy material that's been plaguing me since this new wave arrived. It's not a major issue as it can be heated but lacks the polish durability of Valaverse Action Force weapons. I also wish he came with another fist hand so I can display him punching any unfortunate Cobra goons that stand in his way. This is a great looking Joe figure that shouldn't be passed. I got into the Classified line early when they were doing the Operation Blackout sci-fi aesthetic and although I miss it, I do think the more grounded real-world look fittingly matches well with this guy.

An awesome figure
A highly detailed, well posable action figure that just feels like it's alive.I'm not a big fan of GI Joe, but this guy is just too much fun with the many great accesories. Love the face, the helmet, the extra hand showing horns...Rock 'n Roll deserves to be on your shelf, even if you just need an addition to your toy soldier army.

Rock and Roll!
Thos is a solid figure and is super fun to pose. He's got a lot of cool gear. I'm so happy I managed to get one of these to add to my collection

Great rock and roll wish he came with a bass
Probably one of the best rock and roll figurs ever. I have the 12 inch one modeled off the 3/4 but this is probably my favorite. Great beard sculpting

Unique and impressive interpretation of one of our favorite Joe machine gunners
Initially wanted for the M-60, but after getting that on E-bay and seeing more of the photos people were putting put of him, I had to get the figure myself. Great articulation and detail. Love the ability to have a loose belt or the belt box. No regrets.

Not Perfect, But a Nice Homage to the Original
The G.I. Joe Classified Series has come a long way since its inception, where it suffered from loads of bad design choices, like the metal knee pads and shin guards and the infamously bad rubbery silver sci-fi weapons. Most people collecting these figures are running on nostalgia for the 80's toy line, and initially, at least, those figures/characters were more or less rooted in real-world gear and weaponry. The Classified Series has been slowly aligning itself with the classic look and feel we all want.Rock 'N Roll was one of the original sixteen 80's figures, so it's great to see him get his due in the Classified Series. The articulation is standard for the series, and the accessories are solid, but not spectactular. On the bright side, you get the character's signature M-60 machine gun with a bipod, not some invented nonsense weapon. It comes with a detachable ammo box as well as a large belt of ammo. Unfortunately, the gun is the same cheap, bendy plastic Hasbro usually for weapons, so it came out of the box warped. You also get a radio that attaches to the back of the figure's belt, a helmet with "hang ten" scrawled on it (a nod to the character's surfer roots), and a sidearm for a thigh holster. A nice touch is the inclusion of two extra hands, one giving the heavy metal devil horns sign--Rock 'N Roll was a bassist before joining the Joes, after all.So, what's not to like? The tattoos look way too dark on the figure, far more so than in the promo pictures, and are hard to make out. It also seems like it should have been a no-brainer to include a bass clef tattoo, given the character's back story. A weird oversight. The assortment of accessories and quality of the plastics isn't remotely on par with the competing Valaverse Action Force line, though those figures tend to cost more.Either way, a fun release of a classic, essential G.I. Joe character.
