Superb documentary on one of the most iconic albums ever
Dark Side of the Moon is one of the most iconic albums of the 20th century. This is a well produced and interesting documentary on its making with all the member's of Pink Floyd contributing to it. It’s definitely a film for anyone like myself that loves this album (I bought my first copy in 1974 and it was the start of my love of prog rock). The documentary works through each track with people like Dave Gilmore and Roger Walter’s playing sections to demonstrate the origin of the track which in turn blends into excerpts of the actual album track. It also covers the album cover art and sound samples. I highly recommend this DVD.

Fantastic!
An excellent addition to my Pink Floyd collection!As much a documentary as a music DVD, there are lots of interviews regarding the making of this classic album. I believe this was initially shown on the BBC in ~2003. I am so glad I finally now have a permanent copy.Well worth the money and an essential DVD for all Pink Floyd fans....

Magnificent
I remember watching the programme on TV was it in 2003? I recorded it onto DVD from the TV, but of course it doesn't work now, so found this. It's the same one! Fantastic insight of the making - for me - of the greatest album all time. How did they make it in 1973? If they'd made it now it would still be a trailblazer. I still loved the quote from Roger Waters 'I'm amazed I got away with it, because it was so lower sixth' . Well Roger I was lower 6th in 1973.

My mistake
I thought that this was going to be a film about how the moon was created - apparently not. Liked the music though - could do well

Good.
A well put together, sometimes fascinating look into the making of this seminal piece of rock history. Especially rewarding are the solo performances from band members, including a great bit where Gilmour recreates 'On the Run', and Waters performs a solo acoustic 'Brain Damage'. For any Floyd fan, this is a must.

Well, what were you expecting?
Good quality. Really good quality: sound, image, content.Take note however, that this is a documentary of the making of the album, more than it is a "music" dvd. Although it does contain a lot of music.I must say that this has become one of my favourite dvds in recent months. That must say a lot about Pink Floyd. Even them, just talking about making their music, turns out to be way more entertaining than many other "Best of" compilations in themselves!You can read other reviews if you want to know technical stuff. I just know that I love every moment of this dvd and that no one should be without it. Okay, so the menu sucks. So what? Everything else is CLASS!
