After two weeks of rigorous use, I feel compelled to share my thoughts on the HUION KAMVAS RDS 220. Let me start by saying that this product has exceeded my expectations in several aspects.Pros:1. Outstanding Build Quality: From the moment I unboxed it, I could sense the craftsmanship that went into this device. It feels sturdy and durable, reassuring me of its longevity.2. Effortless Installation: Setting up the KAMVAS RDS 220 was a breeze. Within minutes, I had it up and running, ready to unleash my creativity.3. Superb Picture Quality: The QHD 2.5K display is nothing short of breathtaking. Colors are vibrant, details are crisp, and the overall visual experience is truly immersive.4. Natural Drawing Experience: As an artist, the most crucial aspect for me is how it feels to draw on this tablet. I'm delighted to report that the KAMVAS RDS 220 offers a drawing experience akin to traditional paper. The pen glides smoothly, responding to every stroke with precision.5. Overall, the Huion RDS-220 is a good tablet that offers a similar user experience to the Wacom Products at a lower price.Pros:Easy to installGood displayGood user experience when drawing on the screenGood pen responseGood customer supportCons:Drivers can sometimes be buggy, The pen pressure stops working randomly. To fix this issue, one can simply uninstall the drivers and reinstall them, which usually takes around five minutes. However, updates to the drivers may also resolve the problem. Initially, I had a similar issue with my Wacom Intuos Pro, which was eventually resolved through a driver update.Conclusion:The Huion RDS-220 offers good value for the price and is a good option for both beginners and professionals.

I got this for around 55k on the Diwali sale, plus the Huion Slim Pen for 4k (also on sale). This was a good decision because the pen that comes with the display is really big- it's light, but big and I have child sized hands and much prefer the accuracy of the slim pen.Pros:- Very good drawing experience. I have an iPad Pro + Apple Pencil 2 and it's not quite as responsive, but my guess is that's more of a desktop thing than a Huion thing, as even my Wacom Cintiq was not as responsive as my iPad. The Huion slim pen with the felt nib feels really wonderful to draw on the etched glass display. Just going by tactility, it's better than the Cintiq Pro 16 I tried last year. The pen performance has honestly left me very content. I also recently tried out the latest XP Pen display tablets in their storefront in Mumbai, and this one feels significantly more accurate. Pressure curves aren't up to Wacom levels but they're better than the Apple Pencil and feel good enough. Note I'm not talking about the actual levels of pressure sensitivity, but how it's mapped/ calibrated.- Drivers are a breeze to set up. Easy to recalibrate display if ever needed.- Beautiful 22' display. 2.5k (QHD) is I think the perfect resolution for a display this size. I have to really go up close and squint to see any pixels, and brightness and contrast are very good. I switched the colour profile to Adobe RGB in the settings and only then could I crank up the brightness from the default 50 to 100. It is very, very nice to look at. I can't speak to colour accuracy as I've never been too fussed about that stuff (not essential to my work), but the colours look vivid and sharp. Movies look pretty good on this.- The included stand is excellent. Very sturdy, easy to install and easy to adjust one handed.- Seems to work well with all of the art apps I've used so far.- Laminated screen makes it feel so much more accurate than a non laminated Wacom display. It's not as good as an iPad, but way better than the Wacom One/ non Pro Cintiq's.Cons:- Cable clutter. Even though it comes with a fully featured Type C cable if your device can power it, it still needs to be plugged in to a power outlet, and the power adapter isn't separate from the 3 in 1 cable. This means I have a bunch of wires on my desk that end up nowhere and aren't even going to be used, the HDMI and USB A ones. And the power cord is too long, given the size of this size you're likely going to keep it stationary on a desk.- Tilt is pen's biggest failing. The Cintiq, Samsung, Apple Pencil, and even Microsoft Surface Slim Pen 2 are all extremely accurate and feel natural when using tilt to draw. But although the Huion pen claims 60 degrees of tilt, and while the function is certainly there, I find it throws the cursor off by as much as 2 mm sometimes. Now I use tilt a LOT, because I was traditionally trained, and this is less than ideal. But it's not terrible, and I suspect just takes some getting used to.- Cursor accuracy is notably janky around the edges of the display, which makes hitting some UI elements a little harder. Fortunately the screen is nice and roomy and the centre feels great to draw on. Just expect a little offset when around the extreme edges.I'll update this review in case anything else comes up. I took a big gamble on this RDS 220 since my last Huion, the Kamvas Pro 16 4k, died on me within a year with no warning. So reliability is a long term thing we'll have to see about, but since there are few reviews of this particular model out there, I thought I'd give an in depth one. I can however say with confidence that:- The drawing experience on this is notably better than the Kamvas Pro 16 4k.- It's also notably better than the XP Pen Artist series I tried.- The pen is more sensitive than all but the Cintiq Pro pen. For me personally the Apple Pencil comes out ahead overall because of the way it handles tilt but if that's not important to you then this is top tier. It is miles ahead of the Samsung S pen and the Microsoft Surface Pen Slim 2 that I used with my Surface Pro 8. Those pens are extremely accurate and handle tilt better but fumble the lower end of the pressure curve, where I'm mostly at whilst sketching.- This is FAR better value for money than any Wacom product. The new Wacom One 13' is for the same price as this and I find that utterly ludicrous. Heck, even the Intuos Pro medium is more expensive than the Kamvas 16 2021. Unless you're going for the very best Cintiq Pro models, skip Wacom. They're just not worth it in the mid range.Let's see how this stands the test of time but for now I'm impressed. Huion has definitely upped their game.UPDATE: As of January 27th, 2024, I've updated this review to a 1 star rating, because just like my last Huion Kamvas product (the Pro 4k, 16'), this broke down and stopped working within 3 months. First the display wouldn't register pen input, and then the display conked off, too. I'm too exasperated with Huion to bother finding repairs and solutions. The fact is that I have now wasted over 1 lakh on Huion products, when for that same money I could have gotten a Cintiq that would still be working fine (Wacom products are extremely reliable).Please don't give Huion any of your money. Wacom is more expensive but at least their products last years and work reliably. Plus whatever you say, Cintiq pens are just better.
