Amazing AA Experience - Great Use of the License - Teyon Improves Again
For a Robocop fan this game is pretty much a dream come true. This game is a pure power fantasy and had me grinning from beginning to end.For a AA budget, Teyon have delivered a lengthy, satisfying shooter with light RPG elements. The script is often hilarious, can't remember the last time I laughed so much at a game. Some of the biting social commentary from the movies is here along with some genuinely funny side missions. The environments look absolutely superb and the artists really outdid themselves here. Seeing places like the Police Station , OCP Office and the Steel Mill recreated in game is a huge treat for fans. The lighting is almost photorealistic at times, it's a very pretty game.Robocop himself looks amazing. The character model is absolutely spot on.The humans less so. This is where the budget restrictions start to show. There are many re-used NPCs and the lip sync isn't the best. However you'll be having so much fun wasting goons as Robocop...it really doesn't matter! The developers have made many smart choices to how a FPS as Robocop would work. You are absolutely a bullet sponge but not indestructible. Standing in the open or in front of a mounted gun will see your health bar melt, so accurate shooting and use of the envionment is the order of the day to thin out vast enemy numbers. As well as Robocop's trademark Auto-9 pistol there are a huge variety of additional weapons found in the levels. These weapons are powerful but ammo limited, and in the early game very strong. You'll upgrade the Auto-9 during the course of the adventure so this ensures that all guns are useful from the beginning to the end. It's the interaction with enemies and the environment that really elevates the combat, Robo can deliver a punch that kills smaller foes instantly , he can grab them by the neck and toss them out of windows, into a group of their pals, wrap them round concrete posts etc it NEVER gets old.You can pick up all sorts of things from old school PC monitors, fire axes, chairs, skips, explosing canisters , motorbikes, all sorts and fling them at great speed toward enemies. This is also extremely fun! Punching a guy of a motorbike, grabbing his motorbike and flinging it at another biker in a huge explosion of body and motorbike parts is just hilarious fun.You can even use these powers as emergent gameplay. For example if you're pinned down by a turret gun, grab a nearby skip and use it as a shield, then when close enough, throw it at the turret gunner for an instant kill. Then rip the turret of it's mount and mow down everyone else with it.Early in the game I came across a minefield. You could walk through this extremely slowly and carefully , you could try and pot shot them at a distance, or you could grab a few wheelie bins, toss them through the minefield setting them all off and launching the bins into orbit. Great fun. What surprised me the most were the semi-open world parts set in downtown Detroit. These have many optional side missions, encounters and chances to serve the public trust or uphold the law. Some of your choices even effect how character react to you in the world. For example I caught a guy spray-painting. I could issue him a ticket or let him go with a warning. I chose to let him off with a warning and the next day there was a huge 'Robocop the Righteous' mural painted on the wall where I caught him. I've no doubt if I gave him a fine it would not have been so complimentary haha. There are many upgrades to obtain and you won't be able to unlock them all in a single run. Some of the cool ones include the obligatory slow-mo , the ability to recharge health from circuit breakers and ricocheting bullets , straight out of Robocop 2. There are also passive abilities and also ones that give you more dialog options. The game uses the original Basil Poledauris score to great effect. Robocop's targeting system is identical to the movies and of course, the distinctive clomp clomp clomp of the footsteps is there.I've finished this twice since buying it on launch, clocking in around 40 hours. It is a wonderful game that I will return to over and over. If you have any interest in Robocop at all you really should consider picking this up. It's a definite step up in quality from Teyon's underrated Terminator game and I'm really interested in what they do next. There is a real sense of passion and understanding in both their Robocop and Terminator games, these guys just get it.

Great nostalgia worth playing twice
A must play for fans of Robocop (original films well 1&2). Plays really well with good graphics and great gameplay. They’ve added new game plus which to me is where you can truly be Robocop I.e. more like a walking tank with precision aim etc.

One for nostalgia fans
Robocop: Rogue City is definitely a game for nostalgia fans. If you loved the movie, there's a strong chance you're going to love what the developers have done with this, unleashing the power of Unreal Engine 5 to bring Detroit to life, with a weird mashup of futuristic and 80s vibes throughout. The game itself is a fairly straightforward shooter that chunks along at a fairly steady pace (put it this way, Robocop isn't exactly Tracer from Overwatch!) but with a ton of the original actors from the movie reprising their roles for the game, you'll be on familiar ground. There's a fairly good upgrade mechanism for Robo and his trusty sidearm, yet I always found that discarded weapons in the game were way more powerful than even a topped-out sidearm. There are lots of lowlife enemies to blast your way through and some fairly simplistic casework, plus the inevitable (for me, totally annoying) boss fights including a couple of characters you'll definitely recognise from the movies. The developers have managed to produce some of the best external and internal environments yet seen in a PS5 UE5 game. This really is a showcase for the PS5's capabilities, and it's interesting to note that a small scale developer managed to produce a really nicely detailed game world without introducing the hated issues of V-Synch tearing or framerate drops (EA / Codemasters, are you listening?)There are some weird graphical anomalies during dialogue scenes as the scene switches between characters and you get a tiny glimpse of the underlying UE5 geometry but you'll start compensating for that, and will probably just enjoy the totally cheesy dialogue instead. There are lots of movie easter eggs to spot (including the trophy / achievement names) and overall though it's not the longest game in the world (experience shooter players will be done and dusted in around 5-6 hours) it's a pretty robust and satisfying game with great use of UE5 tech.

Cop-cop Robocop
Great game with a good story. Graphics are good, but the game has problems with the frame rate on quality mode. Good game for a good price. Perfect for the fans of the movie.

A fantastic game
I didn't know what to expect from this game so once I started playing it and it really surprised me in a good way. It's a fantastic game. Its not about shooting the bad guys it's more than that. You have to investigate crime scenes and find out what happened and scan things to find clues and other useful information. This game is well worth the money I am about 8 hrs into the game and still ain't completed it yet so the length of the game is also good. The good bits:+ The graphics are incredible as it was built using Unreal engine 5+ The Storyline is brilliant+ The one liners and sarcasm are funny+ The weapons you use are a good verity+ Skill points to upgrade the stuff brilliant+ Brilliant frame rates+ Lots of action & shooting & investigating+ Lots of investigating to do to find clues+ Lots of Side Quests to do to.+ Orginal voice cast from the robocop films.Robocop and Officer Lewis sound the same as in the films. The only one who sounds different is Sargent Reed. The quotes that Robocop says are fantastic and funny.Overall a fantastic game.I highly recommend getting this game as its a really good game.Hope this review helped you decide.
