Seiko 5 Sports Military SNZG09J1 Luminous 100M

I bought this watch a few months ago as a weekend watch (I'd got bored with my Omega - a quartz model, I'd had an automatic Omega and had nothing but trouble with it). This watch is lovely, it's quite accurate, needing a tweak every four or five weeks, it has a pleasant face with the arabic numerals and so far it's evaded being scratched so it's pretty tough. I bought it from Jewel Box and the customer service has been first rate, when it arrived I was a little doubtful as to whether I'd chosen well (the green face at first seemed more 'green' than I expected), but I called the customer service number and the chap was very reassuring, telling me to give the watch a few days and if I didn't like it a refund would be made without a problem. I now love this watch, I've always liked automatic movements and to get a reliable one at this price is superb. It's a comfortable fit, the strap is strong and robust, and the glass screen on the reverse allows you to have a look at the movement.*****UPDATE*****Well, I've bought other watches since - I gave this one to my son, he's managed to lose it on several occasions but he usually finds it, the face has suffered a number of scratches but it still works fine and keeps accurate time. I have to say, Seiko really do seem to make a good automatic movement - I also have an Orange Monster and that's really accurate.

Bought this watch as a work watch. I have expensive watches, and while this does not have the same build quality feel, it does great at a 20th of the price.Hands stay bright in the dark for hours, and so far it’s keeping the time well.Has about 24 hours power reserve, when you take it off.Great automatic watch, at a everyday price.

Not had a great experience, the watch arrived faulty I’ve had to send it back and I’ve still not received a refund. So overall not good

This time piece is excellent value for money. If you are looking for a no frills, pragmatic watch that is reliable and durable, with a military look, then look no further than the Seiko Sports Military SNZG09J1. The design is clear and distinct, including the luminous dial at night. This is a good watch.

Arrived quickly, but didnt fit my wrist si I bought a larger strap. Watch itself is good, feels solidly built, does'nt keep perfect time loses 1 minute a day but thats fine for a mechanical watch.It does not keep working overnight and runs out after about 6 hours.

Fabulous watch. large Dark Green luminous dial & hands & with clear white numeral. Excellent self wind through wrist movement. Good Quality & value.

I like Seiko watches [I have 4].they look good and are dependable.i use them as my everyday timepiece.

I've owned several Seikos over the years, and this one fits the bill for a no nonsense everyday watch. Very accurate, waterproof and takes knocks, I may replace the strap with a military type. A very good watch.
