Makes our bathroom so modern. Works like a charm.
The media could not be loaded. Open stairs in our bathroom leading to my closet. Wanted lights under the stairs to indicate the stairs and surrounding area. Cut I to the stair treads to embed warm, aluminum light strips. Connected to this lovely device and now, when we approach the stairs, the lights turn on, and now… in order going up or down. It is the nearest thing. Trying to tie this in with my Lutron system so they can be easily controlled via our smart home as well, but honestly, as a standalone light source, functional with us being near the stairs, it is great.Very easy, if not tedious, to install. Instructions leave a bit to be desired, but they work…I am still securing the wires, but this gives you an idea.

Fun little experiment
The media could not be loaded. Update 2/4/23:I am now taking my review from four stars to five stars. After some tweaking around with the bottom motion sensor, I realized that the sensor has to be placed in a certain direction in order for it to work properly as you will see in one of my pictures, the wire that shows the slit in the back of the sensor has to be pointed upward, not downward. If you have the slit pointed downward and the sensor is mounted low, it will just pick up motion from the floor. Because I have mounted the sensor in the correct way now, the sensor is working properly and picking up motion at the bottom stair. As for the glitching of the lights missing, that was because the speed setting wasn’t set appropriately. What was happening was by the time I would get 3/4 of the way up the stairs, the lights wouldn’t light by the time I got to the top. So by the time I got to the top, the top sensor would think somebody was going down the stairs, causing the glitch. In order to rectify this, I needed to increase the speed at which the lights traveled up the stairs and down the stairs. That way the lights would hit the top or the bottom before the person would. That rectified the glitching. Unfortunately, they don’t tell you all this stuff in the instructions, but because of this review, you should now know exactly how to use this product correctly. 👍 Because of these changes I can definitely say that this product is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! It is definitely cheaper to buy the individual components of this system separately than as a kit. The value for your money is definitely here!Original review:Was fun setting these up for the man-cave stairs. They do tend to glitch sometimes and skip a stair out of order. It’s rare, but does happen once in a great while. No big deal though. The bottom sensor is a little less sensitive than the top. Because of this, sometimes the stairs won’t light up when walking up them, but will light when you get to the top. Kind of frustrating. 😡All in all, I would totally recommend these just for the cool factor! 😎

Perfect function & timing controls, limited distance sensors
I know, I know - I’m not using it right… but I attempted to extend the sensor wires because I wanted the unit installed in my media room. I needed a longer distance than was included with the extension cord provided, approximately 75 feet total. The sensors don’t function well at this distance. I bought another brand & it does fine, so it tells me that this unit isn’t quite strong enough to extend the sensor wires. If the 5 meter extension covers your needs, this is an excellent unit with perfect adjustments - unlike the other style I see sold on Amazon that only adjusts number of steps or “speed” - which is speed of the chase up the steps & amount if time the lights stay lit combined. This unit allows individual adjustments on both.

Pretty cool
The media could not be loaded. I never write review until something impresses me! This is worth the money. If the sensor wire is too short you going to have to get 22/3 wire to extend it and solder it. Works great!

Easy install - not so easy setup
The motions sensors are very specific in how you need to angle them. The controller has many options for lighting which is cool. I have 34 steps and only got one of these controllers so I will need to get one more.

DO NOT BUY!
Absolutely sucks! Worked once until I put batteries in the remote which messed up the entire controller. Now I can't reprogram the controller and it only flashes every 4 seconds. What a piece of garbage!
