Absolutely exceptional mobile computing device. Easily competes with much more expensive devices.
I wanted a small light weight travel device that could be a reasonable companion to my desktop and my goodness this delivered far beyond my expectations. The display is exceptional, far better than it should be at this price point. This screen size being a little smaller allows for the pixel density to be high enough that even at 1080p the text is very sharp and easy to read, and images/video is crisp and enjoyable to view. The performance is about what I expect for this price point, it's perfectly serviceable under what I'll consider "normal usage" and it's a little slower as you do more rigorous tasks (I'll address more on that below) but it doesn't struggle in a serious way that hinders the experience of using the device any way that I've noticed. Battery life is exceptional, this is a companion device for me so I use it intermittently throughout the week but I do use it every day for at least some period of time and I seriously only charge it once a week. The listing says 8 hours of battery life average, I regularly exceed that over an hour with ease. Truly has exceeded all my expectations of the device. Now for the nitty-gritty. I'm a software developer, my primary development platform is Linux. I've lamented the fact that installing desktop Linux on laptops has resulted in unsatisfactory battery life over over two decades at this point (and yes, I've read all the docs I can find on this topic including the Arch wiki). Ultimately I bought this to be a travel device but I like using it so much it's replaced my laptop I use around the house and at coffee shops as well. Thanks to ChromeOS termina/crostini offering a simple, seemless, and genuinely impressive out of the box debian environment I'm able to do all of my development work just like I can on my normal Linux desktop. I truly thought I would feel hindered, but I don't. I can even add the crostini container inside the ChromeOS VM to my Tailscale network and get to all my homelab machines. I'm not encumbered in the least and I've come to the conclusion that Chromebooks are wildly underrated as a mobile developer workstation. I will note that if you tax the Snapdragon CPU in this thing for large software compilation jobs you absolutely notice it's not as performant as higher end x86_64 cpus available these days. Also in the same vein, if you're doing write-heavy operations the emmc storage shows itself to you in the way of slow write performance but honestly at this price point and all the pros offered by this device for mobile computing needs, the pros 100% outweigh these two cons. This is without a doubt my favorite laptop-type device I've ever owned to date. Highly recommend.

Great, with one flaw that bothered
Great chromebook. The one flaw that really botehrs me is that the keyboard has no backglight. Otherwise perfect for my purpose.

Not exactly a "chromebook"
If I had understood the form factor of this device before I purchased it, I might have gotten something else. That would have been a shame, because this is a terrific device. It's really not a Chromebook, per se. I have been using Chromebooks since they first became available, and was taken aback when I realized that this is - essentially - a tablet with an attached keyboard. This means that the device doesn't stay open without the screen propped up with its stand; this makes the footprint larger than it has to be, and it can't be used on my lap without a lap desk. I'm adjusting to this as I continue to use it. (My bad for not understanding this when I ordered it.) All this said, I love this device. It's very fast. I've had no problems whatsoever with having numerous tabs open at once (which is my preferred way of browsing). This caused my previous Chromebook to crash - virtually every day. The cover/sheathing on this device looks and feels like fabric, although not at all fragile; I think it looks great. This device charges up very quickly; haven't timed it exactly, but it goes from 30% to fully charged in much less time than other devices. Using it as a tablet has had a couple of quirks, the most significant of which was that I couldn't enter letters on Wordle without reattaching the physical keyboard. The site didn't seem to recognize that I was on a tablet, so no virtual keyboard was enabled. Tried changing settings, etc., to no avail. The other quirk I've noticed is while watching YouTube TV on this device: if I enable full-screen viewing while in tablet mode, the player controls don't go away as they usually do when not needed. This shrinks the field of view a lot, and it's not that big to start with. Don't know if these issues might translate to other sites, but I haven't noticed if they do. I already have a tablet, which is sufficient for my "tablet" needs (e-Reader, games, i.e. anything that doesn't require a lot of typing). I use this Chromebook >95% of the time with the keyboard attached, and I'm very happy with it. I've used the stylus a few times and found it responsive and accurate. Highly recommended!

Item received is in openbox condition
The package that I received is missing the original plastic wrap, instead, packages are taped around to keep box in place. The original screen protector is also missing. While I don't see any flaws with the unit itself so far, but selling an openbox item as new is not acceptable. Ironically, the return policy doesn't give you full refund if the returned item is opened.I decided to keep this unit because I like the device overall. But still feel bad about getting an open box item that was listed as new.

Love this Chromebook
Replaced my Acer Chromebook that was 10 years old and 4 years past last update. The tablet function is easy and much like a phone interface, but with a quick magnetic click, the keyboard is attached and the OS shifts to a laptop like interface. So easy to bounce between writing an email and searching the internet to watching and sharing the tablet with family and friends. Lightweight and small, it is easy to carry around and travel with. If you are familiar with Chrome OS functionality, its capabilities and limitations, this platform is awesome. I would buy agian and may even buy for my college engineer student to access the Google Cursive app for note taking and studying.
