Just received this printer and while I'm having problems setting it up, I can print from my phone but not the laptop. The printing from the phone seems to print multiple times when asked only once. Teething problems I'm sure (or hope!) so going to call the helpline tomorrow. Print looks fantastic though and hoping this is just the setup phase and my technical ability for modern technology is lacking!

I bought this to replace a Dell C2660dn that is finally pining for the fjords after nearly twenty years of service. The Canon is a lovely replacement.It's not absolutely massive, though you're not going to want it sitting on a regular-sized desk next to you.The scanner is impressively fast and renders a fairly decent quality image. Double-sided scanning with the document feeder is a breeze.The print output arrives quickly, although perhaps not quite as fast as my old Dell... but as that died I have no way to verify that, and I might just be remembering the good old days with rose-tinted glasses.Print and copy quality is excellent, though I have noticed that colour copies come out slightly less saturated than originals.Take care during the initial setup process, as you will be prompted for an administrative login, and if you just rush through the steps and don't take note, you'll be left frustratingly locked out of the control panel until you scour the manual for the default login.

I chose to replace my HP inkjet printer with a Colour Laser Printer that had received good reviews for easy set-up and good colour image quality.I had used HP inkjet printers for more than 20 years for documents and glossy photos but the image quality was not always reliable.The canon 650 printer range has received many positive reviews for small business users and home users.It was easy to set-up once I found out the default passcode.The Wifi connection took a couple of minutes. It is easy to use.This printer scans both sides automatically through a feeder or single pages on the scanner glass.It automatically prints on both sides. Printing is fast for documents and colour images.You cannot use inkjet photo papers in the Laser printer.After a little study I think I have identified a fair choice of papers that suit this printer.Everyday printer paper is fine for most jobs including colour printing.To improve the colour image that you print consider the following papers:Canon Top Colour Digital or Zero (better quality)Xerox Colotech Coated Paper 160g/m2 (best so far)It came with starter 067 Toners that should last me a long time. The replacement Toners are going to be expensive but I’ll deal with that later.Overall I would recommend the Canon i-SENSYS MF657Cdw Printer.4 Stars initially. I may review the printer after I have used it for awhile.
