Given as Christmas gift. Recipient very happy. Covers history of important milestones in concise manner. Very good photography.

Several models missing include mine 700 series

A bad title from Crowood is rare, but this one is. It is a poorly written summary of most models. The author chose, for example to miss out one model completely because he couldn't find one to drive. The first generation S40 / V40 range are dismissed in under a single page of text. Too much space wasted on concept cars and the first models Volvo produced are described in a very amateurish manner. Either the author was extended beyond his capabilities or the editors removed more content than was left to print.This is not a title for the motoring historian and has spoiled my opinion of Crowood Press. Too many references to motoring magazine reports indicates a lack of discretion in their choice of author.

It has a good insight into the Volvo model by model which is great and really interesting to know. I enjoy this book so much
