I’m not sure, I used it on my chimney and had plenty

Q: Will this help spalling bricks on a chimney?

I removed any loose particles of brick till pretty smooth the applied 2 heavy coat and so far it has worked. Hope this somehow answers your question. (I have been really pleased with product)

Q: Is one coat enough or do you have to put on 2 coats?

One coat applied at 6-8 mils is sufficient.
