Fotodiox Shoulder Strap, Neck Strap for Rollei/Rolleiflex TLR (Twin Lens Reflective) Cameras

I purchased this strap for my Rolleiflex 2.8F after reading a number of reviews from shoppers who have found the product suitable for the later cameras, even though the specifications suggests otherwise. Anyway, the strap fits my 2.8F perfectly. My main reason for buying this is that I wanted something secure - I really don't trust those thin vintage leather straps. This one is very well made with a woven synthetic material for the main strap and some leatherette between the steel scissor clips and fabric. The leatherette is in a double layer held to the clips with two strong rivets on either end. The attachment to between the leatherette and fabric strap has lots of stitching to spread the load. I feel confident using this strap with my Rolleiflex. The strap is adjustable for length with a buckle and loop. Again, the loop join is double-stitched and the strap end that feeds through the buckle is stitched over with leatherette to prevent fraying.

Scissor fitting works perfectly and makes for a good secure step for the ROLLEIFLEX.

A comfortable strap, well made and I think will last for many years.

The strap does not fit all models of Rolleiflex like the Automat. Check before you purchase.

Not the most attractive looking strap and not really in keeping (visually) with the cameras it's made for but it serves it's purpose.

just what I wanted Brilliant

I've had this strap for 3.5 years for my Rolleiflex 3.5F and I can't fault it...well almost. It's well-made, and I think it also quite suits the camera, despite another reviewer's opposite opinion, but my only gripe is that I find the strap too short, even adjusted to its longest length. In my case, I don't just have the camera hanging directly down from my neck, but I like the strap to go over one shoulder, across my back/shoulderblade and under my arm back to the camera, worn like a "cross-body shoulder strap". The camera hangs to the side, and I'd like to have some freedom of movement to be able to swing the camera into its standard waist-level position for shooting, but the strap holds the camera too high and too tightly to my body for that, especially when wearing a coat. I'm currently looking for an alternative - I'll probably buy some scissor clip adapters I've seen, which allow almost any strap whatsoever to be used.

The leatherette is very weak. I've had my strap for only a year and it's already starting to tear near the scissors.
