This is a great little pencil! It's quite chunky, so a very different feel to using a pencil, it also has a good solid weight, which makes it safisfying to use. It doesn't say so on the information, but this actually comes with a lead inside, which is even better because it means it's not just a holder, you can use it straight away! The lead is a really nice quality - not too soft, not too hard.This is a 'clutch' pencil which means that you press the top, then the claws open at the bottom, the lead is released and you can put a new one in.I also bought a set of the Koh i noor pencil leads too, so I'm all set.This is the cheapest price I have found it for. As usual, 5 stars to Amazon too.

Great product , especially for the price. The graphite (chalk sticks as labelled) create a great range of mark making from dense black to soft textured shading. Comfy to grip (for me anyway , depends a lot on your hand size and preference ) but not too thin or chunky.

Have several of this type pencil and this is probably in the top two. Solid construction

The item arrived very quickly, But disappointingly just wrapped in a piece of plastic.It was intended as a gift and this was not acceptable for that. It looked like It had been grabbed from a draw full of them, hastily wrapped in plastic and sent out; also the other main reason I bought this for the recipient was that it says ln the specification that it is wood, it is not it is black plastic.Anyway the pencil felt quite heavy and solid but quite nicely balanced in the hand, I think it would suit a person with larger hands especially for drawing/sketching.Mainly the presentation let's it down especially if it's for a gift, I returned for a refund.Update: Bought another for myself this time, it arrived very quickly, wrapped in a clear plastic bag. Unfortunately the gold Koh-I-Noor writing and number was faded in places, so I just wiped it with some dry kitchen towel in case it was dirty, and the writing just wiped off!!!! Not overly bothered by the writing but this is supposed to be a new product, and you would think it should last more than a day. So back for a refund once again.

This has a satisfying weight to it without being heavy. It's ergonomically right and comfortable to use. The refills from the same company are great also. Always a slightly more polished and well priced art tools from Koh I Noor.

This 5 6 Koh-I-Noor Mechanical Pencil Is Of Multi use and is a very adaptable product. Personally I have used these types of mechanical pencils for years in my case for preparatory Architectural Presentation Drawings and they are excellent products..!!! They are very diverse in use for all types of drawing from the finest of lines to the thickest of lines or "Blocking In" of swathes of colour or black and white. The 5 6 mm mechanical pencil will accept a variety of leads up to 5.6mm thicknesses. I always make sure to have a range of these pencils...!!! I highly recommend this product which I use daily...!!!

This a wonderful product. It oozes quality. You can get whole set of replacement blades inserts. I have several of these and they last for ever.
