AlessiA di Moka AAM33 / 3 Design Espresso Coffee Maker in Aluminum Casting, 3 Cups

I broke the handle on my favourite Alessi Moka machine this week. I use it every morning and almost worship it. It is such a beautiful design and they do not make it any more. I will take it to an Alessi shop once the lockdown is over and see what they can do but to be safe I got another one from you. It is not as beautiful but it is not bad and possibly from a cheaper range. It was marked 'used 'but it has to be brand new so I am very grateful as it was about 45% off the list price and I can retire my perfect one for a bit.

Makes great coffee, looks very stylish but it’s corroded after just two pots have been made and it was washed very carefully by hand. I expect better quality from Alessi and have loads of their products that have stood the test of time such as wine opener, crockery and cutlery but clearly this isn’t the same quality. I’ll be more wary of this brand in future.

...to a Nespresso. Which I don't hugely fancy, anyway. We had one of these stovetop types a dozen years ago, when we first started drinking lattes, etc. as opposed to just coffee. We loved it. Now, I've gotten so accustomed to crema, that I find it nearly undrinkable. But my partner is very happy with it. And it's a very cute, art-deco design.

In appreciation: This must be the only moka I have, or which has passed through my hands, with a big enough spout; the only one where you can pour with without taking it vary carefully, or lifting the lid as you really have to do with the classic models.

Perfect always with Alessi group, one cup espresso but are also 2 cups very nice

Perfect size and love the design

makes a lovely cup of coffee and looks great.

The inner sieve is not flush to the outer so pressure cannot build up sufficiently to brew the coffee, thus it is useless and was expensive
