Quality in every way
As ever with Bandai, the quality of their kits shines through as soon as you open the box. The detail is awesome, and the fit of each part with it's neighbours is superb. I cannot recommend these kits highly enough, it's just a shame they are not more available in the UK

Great, but...
Very nice.Internals require painting to look like the photos, and the small antenna to the right of the cockpit is definitely worth glueing into place.I have one gripe about this model though, and that is how they chose to do the windshield and entry hatch. You can choose between pre-coloured parts with holes in them rather than clear plastic, OR you can use the clear plastic windows - but these require painting. I think it would have made more sense to make the frames and windows seperate parts to be combined rather than having to choose between them and either paint or leave openings in the model.

Nothing negative to say about this inverse TIE.
I've wiffled on about various Bandai Star Wars models on other reviews so this time I'll keep it short-ish. Bandai continue their range of kits with the latest TIE. Molded in various colours to suit the finished model, if you wanted to you could still pain the model without losing anything. This is no Revell easykit where the markings are already painted on, sloppily. This is a crisply produced, well detailed kit which is a superb depiction of the FO TIE. The panels are one colour, the separate struts another, so getting the desired effect couldn't be simpler, especially since the fit of the parts is spot on. You get the usual laser streams if you want the TIE to be firing, and a nice stand, though it does feel weird having a TIE over a sandy base. I know, it's as per TFA, but still. Then again, the whole look of the TIE just feels like a negative of the original design. What';s black is now grey, what was grey is now black. And his is me keeping it short, ahem. Anyway, if you have the option of buying this kit, complete with two figures, (pilot standing, or seated in the model) which is a great model and well worth the money or the Revell kit, (seriously, do they produce them simply to be awful?) then save your money and buy the Bandai. After all, look at the price of this kit versus the Revell and you'll be able to buy two of these for the one, much worse, Revell. Oh, and finally, look at the other Bandai kits. They are all as good, or even better, than this. Nice size to display, great model, a set of stickers if you like that sort of thing or decals if you prefer those and a stand. Superb.
