What a nice tool
This is a great screwdriver. So convenient having the various bits to hand in the handle.

Good tool
Easy to use, can use either as a normal screwdriver or a ratchet one. Would advise to purchase a set of driver heads to go with it if you are using it as a workshop tool.

Don't buy as your first/only screwdriver!
This is a great screwdriver. The handle fits well in my palm and bits stay in the socket. The ratchet selector is a light turn but does the trick. Not sure if I'll use the wall bracket it came with though, as it lives in a toolbox. One important point: do not buy this as your only screwdriver! Not because it couldn't fulfill that role - it probably could - but because.. deep breath.. you need a screwdriver to get this one free of the packaging!

Great screwdriver with a couple of small niggles
The FatMax series is the 'Pro' or 'Deluxe' version of their standard range of tools. The very first problem is actually getting the screwdriver out of the packaging you need a Phillips or Pozidriv screwdriver to for this and even then it is a fight... just why do they do this ?The screwdriver itself is well made, and the problem of the bits or extension itself falling out seems to have been solved, or I have been very lucky and got a good one.I personally don't see the need to be able to remove the extension so that you can put the bits directly into the handle to use it, I will always us it with extension in, if I want a shorter screwdriver of this type, I have it's little brother, and will use that.. but the facility it there if you need it I suppose. You can rotate the top of the handle so it comes off to reveal a holder for the 12 bits (great selection too) that are included, but I could only get the bits into the bottom 6 slots (and with great difficulty. they are SO, SO tight !) but I found it impossible to get the bits into the top 6 grips, this is a major design flaw in my opinion, and it looses a star because of that. The handle has a nice rubber grip and has the usual 3 position ratchet, selectable by rotating the collar, the positions being : undo, locked and tighten, the ratchet has a lot more 'clicks' than the standard model of this screwdriver, which is a really good thing, and makes it feel more robust.Another annoying thing is the actual holder they supply, it is so weird and renders it useless really the only way to mount it is vertically and put the screwdriver in with the handle at the top, and other position and it it will fall out.. crazy... it should have a clip to grasp the extension bar, then you could mount it anyway want, I threw mine in the bin, and will make my own holder for it.All in all the screwdriver itself works well, just those stupid niggles, so it get 4 stars, but it came really close to getting only 3.

For the price i was expecting something better
As a ratchet screwdriver it'll do the job but i wasn't particularly impressed by the overall construction of the item - it all seems a bit flimsy. I'm sure it will be up to occasional use but at this price it should be far better than that considering that Fatmax seems to be sold as their premium brand.

Great Value
You don’t get much better than this for your money. It is a high quality screwdriver which is easy to use. The only annoying thing is the bits holder and the end of the screwdriver they can be fairly tricky to get out.

Absolute rubbish
Spent half my time in the garden today picking up the red top which stores the spare screwdriver bits. It just keeps falling off. Expected better from Stanley especially as it wasn't cheap. Avoid at all costs.
