If you go through this book properly and don't pass the FE, you might need to re-evaluate what went wrong in your life.
Everyone told me that the FE was really easy if you came from a decent undergrad and took it near graduation and just look at the electronic NCEES Reference Manual they give you. And in all honesty, they're right.I took the FE in the summer after graduation of my undergrad in Mechanical Engineering, but I had been studying abroad, doing internships, etc. without many formula-intensive type classes in a few years, so I was kinda worried I had forgotten most of it. I rented this book and read through most of the summaries. I did a few of the quizzes if I thought I needed a brush up. But it was too much content for the time I allotted for it, so I barely touched upon the sample tests in the back. Now the real thing was so much easier than this book. This book wasn't too hard, but the exam (as of August 2014, anyways) was just super easy. Everything in the exam is in the Reference Manual, and you just need to be familiar with it to find it quickly. If the problem is difficult, skip it (or guess; no deductions) because that difficult question is in the minor and just there to piss you off.Ultimately, before the test, I went over like 60-70% of this book, and was like, "[insert whiny Tom Haverford from Parks and Rec voice] Wah, I hope it's not too hard! I hope I pass! I understood most of the book, but I hope the hard stuff doesn't come up cause I didn't understand any of it!!" But then when I came out of the test, I was like, "[Cool Tom Haverford voice] Whoa. I was way over prepared. Why was I so awesome? I should not have prepared for that test as much as that test should have prepared for me."In summary, this book will give you help review forgotten things, help you get familiarized with the NCEES Reference Manual, and boost your confidence knowing that it's much more difficult than the real FE. If you have a stronger constitution than I do, you could just review the Reference Manual, but this will definitely make you a lot more prepared than you need to be.

Perfect!
Just perfect, no words! This is the only book I used and pass an exam with one attempt.

Best Book for FE Review! - Rent Now!
I took the FE for my first time in October 2013 and passed! I used this book along with a few others to prepare. This book was hands down the most useful of all my review materials. It lays out all the information in manageable portions. It was easy to quickly and effectively review topics that I hadn't used in years, and I even learned topics from course that I never had to take. Also loved that it highlighted equations in green that you could find in the FE handbook.Use this book along with the FE Supplied-Reference handbook!! Even though the equations are highlighted in the review manual, become extremely familiar with the FE handbook. The handbook is not necessarily organized in the most obvious way, and the index could be better. It will save you TONS of time (and stress!) during the exam if you know exactly which sections have which equations. The book claims that each review section should take an hour, but for me it took longer. I got this book 3 months before the exam, which was enough time to review. I wish I had got it sooner so I could have focused more on taking practice exams during the two weeks before the exam, instead of cramming in review topics. This book only covers the morning section and the general afternoon section. I would definitely recommend this book for review for the morning section. There are A LOT of practice problems, perfect for prepping for the test. The book also goes over study schedules, test taking strategies, and what to bring in your "kit" to the test. Totally helpful!I rented this book from Amazon, which I would also recommend. It was less expensive, and the copy I got was in great shape. I used post-it notes to mark up the book while I was studying, and took notes and did all the practice problems in a spiral notebook. Once you pass the test, why would you need a copy of the book?
