Nice strings
Using on a yamaha silent violin and they have a great sound with reliable tuning that lasts.

Good strings
I've used Zyex strings for years, ever since I had problem after problem with Pirastro Oliv A strings not lasting more than a few weeks and the final straw of a £25 G string breaking within a week, the shop that sold it telling me there was no guarantee..The tone of Zyex is very very powerful, so you need to marry them to a violin which is not too bright to start with. On the right instrument they are great, very stable and last for ages. I have performed numerous concertos with these strings on a couple of different violins. The E can be a tad harsh, and prone to that lovely squeak if you don't cross straight, so I mostly use the Kaplan solutions non whistling E, which in my opinion marches these strings very well.Another make to try, which are rather more mellow, are Warchal karneol. I have been highly impressed with these. However, I'd stay away from the Brilliant Vintage, which I tried, but took straight off and wouldn't even put on a student violin.

Zyex violin strings
When I tried these strings 7 years ago, I hated them---the playing feel was like radio mast steel hawsers. However the strings were re-formulated about 4 years ago and I bought the light tension ones. I am really pleased with them. The feel when playing is just right and they have excellent projection qualities. They also stay well in tune. If you were disappointed years ago, I'd urge you to try them again and price-wise they are about the same as Dominants.

Pretty darn good. My violin seems to love them!
Was recommended this brand by my luthier as the Pirastro Eudoxa I used, although nice, would CONSTANTLY need tuning. These project well with a warm bright tone but surprising depth.
