Sennelier Extra-Soft Half Pastel 6 Stick Set, Set of 6, Autumn

I’m a novice, but what a great way to dip my toes in this media with beautiful landscape colors that are supposedly one of the best brands, and I love landscapes. Perfect! So I was a little disappointed at first because I didn’t understand there was a difference between soft pastels and oil pastels, and I was like.. this is chalk! But!!!! I played with it and got a little better with it, and I really like it. A lot of messy fun.

Best soft pastels. Wish I could afford an entire set.

These are nice but am still looking for my two perfect blues.

Half of these were - burned. They were hard and not even a mark could be made.I’m an artist. I know pastels.Amazon wants me to go to the trouble of returning this garbage for a refund. Nope. My time is precious, so a refund without a return (I’m a nomad, so drop off points are often unavailable).Don’t buy these.

These are professional quality soft pastels, the color pigments are rich. Easy & enjoyable to work with on any pastel surface, great for using as a wash for back painting.
