Just what I was looking for
I tried everything to fight weeds and get my yard as maintence free as possible. I love this stuff. 6 ft wide and 300 feet covered half my back yard and I have had little mowing to do and few weeds have penetrated. The ones that did found a small puncture hole to come up through. My aussie sheperd, the florida heat, my lawn mower, leaves from oak trees have not been kind to it and it has done well in the year and a half since it been down. I built my garden beds on top and added new soil mix on top and have had few weeds. about once a week I come through with a little weed killer spray spot spraying anywhere I find them which is mainly from florida sand blowing around. I have used brooms, plastic rakes, and blower to tackle the leaves and soil I drop from pots and planting and it has held up. The material is the same I see at the commercial plant nursery and this stuff is tough. I love it and it cheap. I guess few are in the market for 6 ft wide rolls but you can always fold it over and it cheaper then smaller size rolls. I think I going to get some more and do my drive way in it. I spent more for good quality pins then I did on this material but this stsuff is holding up to the abuse. I tried the stuff I found at lowes, walmart and home depot but weeds made their way though it months later. I pulled up a section the other day I laid down a year and a half ago and it was as good as new and not a weed or grass having an effect. If you dont want to mow I say lay this down and plant your beds on top. Easy to work with and all I used was kitchen scissors and my foot to press the staples through it in the ground but I recommend using a rubber mallet because using your hands on heavy wife staples kinda hurts.

This stuff is awesome!
So much better than the cheap crap you get from the big box stores. We use it for gardens, for landscape, under rock on driveways, its really good stuff. Allows water to penetrate, but actually stops weeds. And lasts substantially longer than the cheap thin stuff from the stores.Absolutely recommend!

Nice, watch your application
So I bought this to use in my garden. Water does not penetrate this. It will sit right on the top. If you buy for your garden, you will need to burn or cut holes in it for your plants and use a tubed drip system or manually water. It doesn't rule it out for a garden, just know what your going to have to do.So, the positive, it is thick and did a good job of weed suppression. I walked on it all summer with soft dirt under it and it never tore. I am trying to improve my garden for my second year and putting raised beds in to cut down on weed time. I will use this product again and put rock on top to prolong it's life a very long time. UV will break down anything after awhile, that is why you need to cover it if you are going to use it for more than 2 years probably(My suggestion).

The Godzilla of garden ground covers!
I ordered 300’ last May because I needed a heavy geotextile to permanently cover some difficult to mow areas on the property. I haven’t gotten around to that project yet but have used it for groundcover in veggie garden beds last year and this year. It’s walked on all the time and no ripping has occured. No plants have managed to grow up through it. I was even able to reuse the sections from last year and they are good as day 1. I fully expect to be able to reuse them again in year 3 and beyond. Despite it being ultra heavy duty, water drains through it as easily as ordinary garden ground covers. It has drastically reduced the amount of supplemental watering needed and as mentioned, weeds are nonexistent. I also use sections of this to drag things around the property like brush piles, logs, straw bales, etc. It doesn’t tear or stretch! I have also used this to make my own grow bags and larger grow bag style raised beds. This is so worth it. I’m glad I got this and I highly recommend it. BTW, mine came as a roll, not folded as some reviewers are saying. Also I am unsure why folded versus rolled would even be a problem. Potatoes, potatos! Get some. You won’t regret it.

Know what your buying
I have seen reviews that say grass grew through the product. It isn't a weed barrier. We needed a product to lay down beneath rock we had spread and we wanted water to be able to soak through it that would reach the roots of our trees. It does keep weeds out but it is not a weed barrier as it is designed to be a long lasting product to use beneath roadways. Great value and am really pleased with the product as it performs as I had intended it to though small patches of grass can grow through it and they can be tamed.

Buy this landscape fabric!!!
One roll covered over 1720 square feet of ground easily and I have left over,( i.e. there IS 1800 sq ft per roll). It cuts easily with a sharp knife and hardly frays at all. If you want to avoid fraying cut it with a Propane plumbers torch, works great, just use gloves to avoid the melted plastic as it hardens. The material is very sturdy and resists punctures and rips well. I suggest using galvanized drip line landscape staples rather than anything with a painted coating, and you won't need any special collars for the staples either as the fabric is tough enough. Sincerely, Now and Zen gardening

It was a great price and drains well
Doing a larger landscape project, we used this fabric as an underlayment for a crushed limestone base. It was a great price and drains well. Local stores don't carry this high level fabric or charge 2x as much for alternates. The best part was that it was 6 feet wide - cut installation time in half and used less total fabric because there were fewer seams. It shipped as a 6 foot roll, which was a surprise, but a good one - made it a lot easier to work than a 6 foot fabric folded in half and then rolled. I'll buy this again for my next project!

Finally a solution for weed free garden!!!
Been gardening for 25 years and have tried "everything" to reduce weeds. Usually by August I've given up and the weeds win.Put this down, burned holes for plants and done. Never pulled a single weed all summer. Best garden I've ever had! Very healthy plants, no diseases or rotten veggies.End of season swept up leaves and dead stuff, rolled up for use next year.Even if I had to buy a new roll every year, it's worth not having to deal with the back breaking weed pulling.Love it!!!
