The Dinosaur that Pooped Daddy!: A Counting Book

Great little book easy to read (aged 5) colourful and funny, loving spending time reading these from these authors

Please note that this is a Board Book and not a paperback continuation of the series. This book is aimed at Pre-Schoolers.Unfortunately this book seems to have had quite a few low reviews against it from people thinking that this was a continuation of the series when it isn't. I've had this book in my basket for quite some time before it's release date and the description has always clearly stated that this was to be a board book which therefore is aimed at younger children and the book's synopsis also confirms this is aimed at younger children. Unfortunately it would appear that some people ordered this without reading what it was about so please note if reading this review that it is a board book for younger children.Both of my children love The Dinosaur That Pooped series of books and this is a brilliant book for younger children which helps introduce them to the fun that is Danny and Dinosaur and of course Dino Poo! Both of my children are pre-schoolers and they both love this board book and the other books in the series aimed at older children.The book is a hardback board book which for anyone that may not know, means that each page is literally thick board rather than paper. These types of books are perfect for younger children just starting to read and enjoy books and makes turning pages easier for little hands. The book has 16 pages and also counts down from 10 to 1 so another bonus that it includes counting alongside the storyline.The book tells of how Danny can't find his Daddy and so Danny and Dino wander through the house tracking Danny's Daddy down by the little piles of things he has left behind such as 7 tools on the sofa and 4 watches in the hallway. I also like that the numbers are in numerical and written form to introduce little ones to both when counting along with Danny and Dino.My son thinks all of the range is absolutely hilarious and he loves the result of this short board book with the usual Dinosaur Poo and Danny's Daddy and my younger daughter loves being able to sit alone with the book and turn the pages and 'read' the book by herself which I won't let her do with the full size books on her own as she has a tendency to rip them by accident but no ripping worries with the board book. A very easy and well deserved 5 star marking for this book and a great introduction to Danny and Dino for younger children.I have attached a couple of photos without revealing the ending to show the book, a few of it's pages and beautiful illustrations which I hope the publisher won't object to but if they do they can comment on this review and I'll remove the photos.

Grandchildren loved this book. Even though it is a board book not the usual larger soft books, they loved it as it was about a daddy. These books are hilariously funny and children love them all.
