The cement holding the ridge had failed and I didn't fancy the prospect of redoing it so opted for this dry ridge system. It's really easy to fit and is virtually undetectable from the ground on our bungalow but what really made my day was just how quick it is to fit, 24 metres in just a few hours. Great support from the buyer and delivered very quickly, highly recommended.

I bought the cheapest I could find and ended up with this, but once up on the roof and fully invested in the job suddenly £50 seems irrelevant. Had a few frustrations with this kit the the biggest problem was the tape doesn’t stick well to the slates. On a nice dry warm summers day and if it hasn’t rained for a week probably great , but in England between October and May, forget it.

Beware that straps are supplied with it not brackets as advertised.

Firstly I should point out that I've never fitted a dry ridge before, but have previously used the traditional cement mortar bedding.The delivery was prompt, and a 6m kit was all enclosed in a fairly small & very light parcel.All fixing screws & nails were enclosed, along with an instruction sheet.My only issue with the contents was that the "brackets" that were illustrated in the instructions (and in the Amazon advert) were not the same as the plain straps that were actually supplied (see image). These straps seemed very flimsy, however once installed appear to serve their purpose.The ridge tiles used were Half-Round clay, and the height of battening that I was required to install in order to support the ridge was considerable . However that is an observation that does not reflect on this ridge kit (as all types would appear to adopt the same approach) but on the general concept of this fixing system.The installed appearance is, imho, less attractive than a mortar fitted ridge. Nonetheless it was far quicker & easier to install, is reassuringly secured with generous length screws (supplied) it adds less weight to the roof structure & allows greater breathability.

Need a good dry ridge at a good price, very pleased with this system
