Q: How deep/long can this be submerged in water?

Q: Can this be used with other types of harnesses, not just ruffwear?

If your other brand of harness has a loop or something you can clip the Ruffwear light to, then yes. You can always rig up something to make a loop if not. I bought tiny carabiners on Amazon, which I attached to the existing metal clip on the light, this made it easier for me to attch the light to our Ruffwar harnesses. We use these lights every day for our trail running with our dogs, brilliant lights, we use red on our female dog & green on the boy so we can see who is where.

Q: Might it work for my sprocker when wearing his the Ruffwear collar? Or, is it only for use with his Ruffwear harness?

Thank you for your question, yes the Beacon can also be attached to a collar. If your dog tends to roll on their back we do find that some customers like to take extra precaution to ensure that the Beacon stays attached to the collar, such as attaching a hair tie or rubber band to the beacon and collar. That way, if the beacon does come unclipped, it will remain with the dog.

Hi, there is strong clip on the back of the light which can be used to attach to the collar. We have a customer with beagles and this is how they attach theirs without loosing them. Hope that helps.
