Great sight fishing glasses
I have the copper bronze mirror lenses in the gray guides choice frames and the base camp frames and they are by far my favorite glasses. They filter sunlight extremely well without “shading”. Everything is still bright and colors pop better then normal vision. I also have a pair of guides choice in the blue green lenses but to me they make things appear darker compared to the copper bronze which filter light while brightening. Both are great for taking glare off the water for sight fishing here in the Chesapeake bay. Our water is typically an emerald green color. The copper bronze take the cake for this but that could be different off shore in the blue water. The frames are light and stay on your face well haven’t had any nose slip even on hot days.only complaint is the price. At 200+ Dollars I would t call it a value but if you want to splurge and not regret it these will accomplish that. Smiths are my go to.

You can't go wrong
I bought three pairs so I could decide which one I liked best; Chromapop Gray, Polarchromatic Ignitor and Polarchromatic Copper Mirror - all in glass. I bought them strictly for fishing. I wanted glasses that would let a lot of light pass as I never end up wearing sunglasses for long, I either feel like I'm missing stuff because they're too dark or the world takes on a weird yellowy brown hue that I hate.I thought it would be a fairly easy decision once I tried them all on, I was wrong. They all allowed more light through than I expected. I could even wear them all indoors without feeling hindered (ok, maybe the gray was a little dark for indoors). The Gray was the darkest, followed by the Copper. All three were incredible outdoors. I won't be able to describe it but they all actually seemed to enhance colors and natural light while still being incredibly effective. The Ignitor gave a very slight rose tint, the Copper a very slight amber. The Gray just seemed to take the harshness out of the sunlight but had no real tint. I didn't take any out to the water, two were getting returned and I didn't want to risk damaging them. Instead of stewing over it all weekend I made a snap decision and went with the Copper since they're said to be the best for fishing -- all three were fantastic though. I printed the return label, repackaged the other two and took them to the UPS drop off so that I couldn't change my mind.

Not as good a design (IMO) as the earlier Chiefs model that I had.
These are great sunglasses, especially on sale. However, the spring loaded temples make them hard to securely wear on a ball cap brim without the risk of them sliding off. Regardless, they are excellent lenses. However, the copper polarchromic tint on the Guides is rather different from my 2014 era Chiefs. A different tint and not quite as dark. I also have some their brown polarized lens sunglasses and prefer the brown tint to the new copper tint.

Clear sunglasses, work great in low light
I bought these for woods hiking, due to sensitivity to UV rays. These sunglasses work great in low light conditions; objects on the trail stay very clear and in focus. I own other Smith sunglasses. They fit the face well, don't slice around, and last well.

Great glasses, perfect for people without hair.
Great glasses. Had been using Costas, but my eyes were giving me trouble after fishing for 5-6 hours. No longer having trouble with these glasses. Comparing them side by side with Costas these make everything crisper with better colors. Lenses will take a beating without scratching. They do transition nicely from inside light to cloudy days to sunny times. Don't really see any difference with them staying cleaner then other glasses. As for the built in string holder, you're in for a ride with that evil piece of business. Theoretically, you just pop some tab pieces in and out. Yea, sure buddy. I'd rather clean some public restrooms than experience that bit of torture. And if you have long hair, you'll be in for a real treat after messing with those tabs from hell. Be warned, after switching tabs around, you'll never get those little bastards to lay flush again. No worries, until you go to take your glasses off and clumps of hair come out. Dabbing clear nail polish along tab edges has solved the problem, but still not ideal. Overall, great glasses, perfect for bald people. Oh, yea, the fish, cause that's all that really matters, right? Yes, you can see all those fish just waiting on you to catch them.
