The charger works well on all makes of AA and AAA batteries that can be charged together and each battery has its own charging level display which is very useful. This suits me fine, no complaints at all.

I bought this charger to replace an existing 15+ year old multi slot & 9V charger that had become very erratic in not charging the AA & AAA batteries consistently. This EBL charger was the nearest equivalent and works fine in that regard - a clear display, if at times difficult to view when looked at from an angle as - other have commented.Others have also commented on the tightness of the 9V battery slot. I found this was a big problem as well with only one of my three makes of 9v battery fitting! The problem being that compared to my old charger - see the uploaded photo - that has nice and large slots with square corners, the EBL is a bit smaller and with very rounded corners and it's these corners where it sticks. One can't help but think this is a major design blunder that EBL should be ashamed of, and should have fixed by now - it is only one of the plastic mouldings so it should be simple to redesign! Of the two 9V batteries that didn't fit one just plain didn't go in and the other, as in the photo, being really tight at the corners. With a hard push I could get it to make contact and it immediately highlighted another problem. This charger won't charge the 9.6V variants of the '9V' battery whereas it will charge the 8.4V types.I do have other 9V chargers so this charger will do for my main purpose of multi charging AA & AAA batteries so for me it'll do for now - and I'll take the Dremel to the 9V battery slots to enlarge the corners once I'm happy that I won't be returning it. So whist it was really a 3 star product I've only docked it one star.

It’s great to be able to mix sizes, and the fact that it takes any combination of AA and AAA from 1 to 10 is ideal. I like the spring load insertion. The screen is clear and easy to read. It charges much more quickly than my old charger. I also use the 9 volt spaces for my Energiser batteries, but Varta 9 volt fit is too tight so I have kept my old charger for them. It was very reasonably priced and I’m really pleased with its performance.Update in March 2021The unit readout started to give problems and I contacted customer service for advice. I received a very quick response with some standard guidance. Unfortunately this didn’t resolve the issue. When I notified them of this, they offered a replacement unit. This arrived within a week. My 5 star rating is for the unit and for the excellent after sales customer service.First class all round.

I bought this because we seem to go through batteries quicker than asda can stock them.Straight forward to use on AAA and AA .iT DOES CHARGE OTHER BATTERIES. Recommended

I've had a few small chargers for charging AA and AAA's for around 6 - 9 at a time. None have been relied upon as individual bays work as and when they want or simply not at all, along with very poor USB style connections.With having used EBL batteries without issue I thought I would give this a go and whilst relatively early days, it's started off very well indeed. Everything works, the batteries are easy to access and it has a solid mains 'figure 8' connector. It's charged them faster than previous chargers and gives a nice clear display right across the charger.
