Works perfectly. Put the door down into it and it keeps it there steady.I’d never fitted doors before and I used it to fit 14 of them.Still looks the same now as it did when I bought it. Very good. Well built too.

Brilliant door block/gripper! Carpenter here, had one before and it broke but this one is even better as it has a quick slide to adjust the opening size. Then simply tighten up the two knobs to finish. The old one i had you had to mess about with a screwdriver to tighten it. Highly recommend! Better with two of them but one will suffice

Easy to set up and use.really great product

its a good product i used this at one side of the door and a trend door grip at the other side to hold the door . In my opinion you really need at least one support. and if you are chiseling the hinges out you need two and support at the hinge height . i got my son to push against it but you could use an external corner and use the holders.it is half the Price of the trend door holder and the build quality is not as good as i would have expected for the price . The trend gripper is more expensive . but the trend will still be working in 10 years i really doubt the magic door holder will. but if your doing ( heavy doors ) yourself the magic door griper has the advantage of gripping the door straight away . if pushed i would buy two trend types but i do believe the magic gripper has its uses and i wish it was just built better . This product is very robust and will give good support to doors while I cut out hinges

The gripper is great, I’ve had one before but left it on a job and it disappeared. I’m keeping hold of this one it makes life easy when working on doors.
