A super ornament to have in display. You cannot pretend that it is a usable telescope, you can see through the glass but the view is not clear. For the cost it is exceptionally well made. No damage everything working.....excellent. If you are simply looking for a decorative item this is just the job.

I bought this ornament as part of a home-office refurbishment/redecoration and I could not be happier with it. It is of very high-quality and I consider it worth more than the amount advertised. The ornament technically functions as an actual telescope, you can adjust the height of the legs, and adjust the magnification of the scope itself, the attention to detail in this product is phenomenal.I would recommend this to anybody as a fantastic decorative addition to their space.

This is an ornament that is aimed for aesthetic benefit not for use as a scope. You can see through the eye piece and that's a bit of fun, but it is a nautical ornament and as such it is a terrific little product.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this item, well built and looks great.Technically does work as a telescope but make no mistake this is a decorative item, if you actually want something to use primarily as a telescope then maybe look for something else.

as a display piece, it is adequate. brass fittings are nice, but the wood stand could have been neater.as a functional item, it is decidedly sub par. cloudy vision and inability to focus the lens without accidentally unscrewing the whole back end. not ideal.if you want something to look at, its acceptable. if you want something to look at things with, I would point you elsewhere.

Paint work and cutting out could have been better but was resolved with partial refund

This arrived promptly , pleasantly surprised with this , looks stunning when set up and does catch people's eye , my only issue is I can't unscrew the lense cap as it needs twisting and the chain it's attached to is not long to allow you to turn the cap , BUT it's purely for ornamental purposes, so I really can't fault it other than that, otherwise it's a gorgeous statement piece 10/10 for this .
