Anker 622 Magnetic Battery (MagGo), 5,000mAh Foldable Magnetic Wireless Portable Charger with Stand and USB-C Port (On The Side), Magsafe-Compatible for iPhone 16/15/14/13 Series

I maybe would drop a star because the charging capacity isn't HUGE, but I think it's very fair for the price - so 5 stars earned. It will charge my phone from 0% to 100% but not have much left after that. It recharges quickly. Works for my purposes. Sturdy. Love that it also functions as a stand, and the light green color matches my Pixel phone perfectly. I use it more often than I thought I would. And it looks nice! It also charges my other devices with wireless charging capability, even if they don't have magnetic backs, I just lay the charger flat and set the device on it.

Who doesn't need a back up charger?! This one is cute, slim, and does the job. It's light and portable, easy to carry around. The capacity is okay, great for a night out but not that large for a day at Disney. It's easy to use plugged in or through magsafe and while magsafe is slower, it is more convenient to not have to worry about a cable and whether the cable is long enough or short enough.

Anker has a wonderful reputation of making good high quality products and I’ve gotten multiple of their cords and their charging banks with great experiences, and this is no different. It’s slim, generally light weight, feels great in the hands, good side, and comes with the bonus feature of a built in kick stand that reminds me of my iPad cases. The magnets are strong and the MagSafe is very good, especially with a case on your phone that also has added MagSafe magnets. The indicators on the side near the button are nicely lit and clear and I find I can get about a full charge and a half out of the battery. It does make the iPhone very warm, but MagSafe is generally that way since inductive charging isn’t as efficient, so it’s definitely a give and take there. Speed isn’t the best, but it’s not the worst either. It’ll keep your phone alive. Generally, I’d suggest using this when not using your phone. Also, if it’s in a pocket charging your phone, it’ll make the phone overheat very fast, so be aware. I definitely recommend getting this battery bank. It’s reliable and has given me a very good experience overall.

UPDATE: Anker reached out to me and sent me a new charger. After spending some time with it, it was obvious that the previous charger was very much a lemon. My biggest issue was that it wouldn’t hold a charge when being stored. The new charger maintains its charge to where I’m comfortable about not worrying about it in an emergency. And I am able to fully charge my phone with it now. The magnetic hold is still just okay and it still gets a little too warm when charging the phone, imo, but I can deal with that. I appreciate the customer service that Anker provided.ORIGINAL REVIEW: When it comes to charging my electronic devices, Anker is my go to brand. I’ve bought and used various products over the years with 100% satisfaction, but this one was less than stellar.It looks nice, it’s not too heavy, the fold out kickstand is a great addition. Like other reviews mentioned, the magnet isn’t that strong and it gets hot when charging the phone. I have not been able to get a full phone charge out of it. And the charger doesn’t stay charged. After I use it, I charge it back up and put it away. When I pull it out, and I’m talking just a few days later, it’s dead. If my power goes out, I can’t count on the power pack to be working.Maybe I have a defective pack. But because of its performance, I don’t recommend this product. As the title of my review says, it got 3 stars only because it’s an Anker and in general I have been happy with their products.

I had the previous version of this, where the charging cable was at the bottom, so you couldn't charge it with the phone on while it was on the stand. That was the worst part of that charger, it was annoying, but I loved that it had a strong magnet and worked well. So even when it got wet from me dropping the bag it was in in the ocean, and the charger wasn't working great anymore, I was on the lookout for the same one. Thankfully they redesigned the new one so the charging port is on the side, and now I can charge the batter bank, while using it as a stand for my phone. It's extremely useful and I'll even be able to get rid of my phone stand at work (which was just a phone stand, with no charging capabilities). The MagGo also charges my MagSafe capable AirPods Pro case, so It works on multiple levels. There are only 2 things that are not great. First, that it doesn't give my iPhone 12 Pro Max a full charge, but honestly to me it's just a way to give it some extra battery life since I'm notoriously forgetful about charging my phone... The second is that like others here, i wish the kickstand was just a bit more stable. The magnet on that side isn't very strong. If you're just going to use it as a stand, or not touch it while you're watching something, it's totally fine, but it doesn't take much to collapse it. Their 633 model has a better kickstand it seems, but I think it sacrifices the clean look of this model, so I guess it just matters what you care about. I still give this full stars overall because it's exactly what I was looking for, works as intended, and they fixed the previous issue. If I ever accidentally submerge this in the ocean also, I will probably get it again (maybe next update will be to make it more waterproof?).

Fits snuggly against your phone but if you have a phone case that’s not MagSafe you won’t be able to attach it. It charges quickly and works as intended. It’s portable so you always have battery life but it’s always on so if you use it too much it doesn’t have a function to be smart enough to turn off and can fry your battery.
