Q: what is the shelf life on these meals?

The use by dates on the meals just purchased are May/June 2018 so a 2 year shelf life.

Q: I'm guessing they're not gluten-free but I'm hoping they are? Anyone know?

The ones I purchased were NOT Gluten free. Unfortunately you do not get a choice of what you receive. Your best bet is to go to a camping shop and check on packaging.

It's 300g pet pouch. I would definitely get these again

Q: I forgot to ask can they be heated in those self heating ration bags if you had no electric?

Yes, These bags are put into a pan or bowl of hot water and warmed.
