works on Moto turbo power
After reading conflicting advice on the interweb about the suitability with Motorola turbo charge capabilities, I can confirm that on connecting to a G6 (not play/power) it does in fact show turbo power / charge on the screen, and did in fact charge said phone very quickly.... unsure if my choice of cable also helped with compatibility, but I paired it with the 6ft Anker powerline+ USB 2 to USB-C .The item itself was delivered in a branded retail box with description, CE RoHS markings and company contact info, Qualcomm info etc... Inside the item was protected with more card and a foamy bag, also included were an instruction booklet (yeah, plug it, in switch on) with safety guidelines and specs, along with warranty & company contact info, also included was a card with details on who to contact if you were unhappy with your purchase, and of course how to praise them if satisfied....The charger appears to be well built, finished in a gloss black with Anker branding along its length, and the Qualcomm QC symbol on the front, under which there is a green charge light and the USB A port. The charger itself is a lot deeper than traditional / normal USB chargers, I imagine this is to house the technology, although it is not the full width of a UK plug along its length, that said the socket is safely covered. I would say this unit is at least 21/2 -3 times the depth of a standard USB charger, plus the cable plugs into the long end, something worth considering if space is limited or if placement will cause it to protrude, using the afore mentioned Anker cables it is about 10cm / 4in in depth from the socket.... I can confirm that the nearer the battery is to full, the charge rate does slow down, as it is supposed to, with the last couple of percent taking nearly as long as the previous 30%, on the Moto G6 the screen showed turbopower until 100%, then changed to simply "charged", only used it the once so far, but from 50% - full, the charger still felt cool to the touch with no heating issues, the green light remained on after 100% achieved, and even for several seconds after switching the socket off, so obviously holds a little residual current.I only have the one device that offers QC capability, so cannot comment how it plays with others, but would certainly recommend it for a Moto G6, as previously mentioned, I would also recommend buying a decent cable (I used Anker powerline+), as I have also read the quality of cable can affect some charging capabilities. Anker themselves do seem to make some quality products, and by looking around Amazon and other places, you will notice that if you do run into problems or need help, their support is pretty much spot on

Great product but will degrade your battery. See details.
Hello, here is my detailed review of this charger, hope I can help. This charger does exactly what it says on the tin. Another cracking product fro anker who I now swear by due to their great products and customer service. Here are the main points you should consider:Quality and appearance: This charger looks great with the classic Anker styling, using similar materials to their A3143 speaker (incase you have it). Although the surface looks and feels very good quality and slick to the touch, it is an absolute fingerprint magnet. This doesnt bother me too much though as I don't really look at it close much other than to do this review.I have had no issues with the front of the charger coming away, although I see others unfortunately have.Design: It slots into any socket very easily and doesn't get in the way of any neighboring sockets. It does extrude outwards a fair bit but doesn't bother me at all. What does annoy me a bit is that the USB port itself is upside down so any cables that are worn in are often curved one way due to gravity so it does go against the grain plugging into this charger. Not a major issue and may be done like that to save space.Effectiveness: I have only ever charged two things up with this. My 20,000 milliamp hour battery pack and my iPhone 6 plus. I can say that it charges both incredibly quickly, charging the iPhone in about half an hour and the battery pack in a few hours (dont know accurate times) where it would usually take about 20! I have no quibbles with the capability of this charger at all, if you need speed you need this!Side effects: Most people may not think of this but this charger and other fast chargers like it do degrade your battery's performance. I'm not sure if this is a permanent thing but I have noticed a significant drop in my battery's longevity after using this charger for a couple of months. An app shows that my phones battery has degraded by about 15% whilst using this charger, although I have to say it feels more than that. This may also be due to the fact that I do use my phone whilst it is on charge which is also a known battery killer.Over all this is an incredible product that has lived up to Ankers name and has saved me hours upon hours of charging time. I dont recommend it for daily use for one device if you value your battery life, but I do phone repairs so it is quite easy and inexpensive for me to replace the battery when I want a new one.Hope this has helped you know if this is the product for you, sorry if I have waffled but wanted to make this as detailed review as I could.Any other questions you can contact me through amazon or through me email: [email protected]
