Better than a health Spa treatment!
Over 20 years ago I read Nurse Sue Hill's very good book on curing arthritis which she'd suffered in her early 20's and was told she'd be unable to have a family and lead a normal life if I recall correctly. One of her suggestion for painful joints and other aches and pains was a twice weekly Epsom salts bath as hot as you could stand for 15 minutes, then wrap up warm immediately and sweat for another 15 minutes. So almost a sauna effect. And it works for detoxing and getting rid of aches in muscles from gardening and other physical activities. Recently I decided to try Dead Sea salt instead of basic Epsom salts and it works very well, especially after 4-5 hours working in the garden. It just soaks all the aches and twinges away and is so relaxing, after the bath I usually find I sleep for 8 hours non stop. It's darker than Epsom salts and smells slightly different but not at all unpleasant. I put about 3-4 large scoops with my hand into a hot bath and dissolve it with a long handled bath brush. Dead Sea salts has many vital minerals in it, including Magnesium , which is so lacking in our diet and yet so essential for health( see Dr Carolyn Dean and many others on the Miracle of Magnesium ). It clears so many impurities from the body and at the same time the body absorbs all the magnesium and other vital minerals from the salt while you soak in the hot bath. It's a real health cure. On the pack it says your skin will feel very smooth, and it does, but there are a lot more benefits than that, as long as hot baths don't affect any medical condition you may have. When I just used Epsom salts, I found the back of my neck and scalp felt quite itchy after soaking in the salty bath but I've not noticed that at all with Dead Sea salts. Even if you don't have sore joints etc, adding these salts to a warm to hot bath and just soaking for ten minutes or so is very relaxing, in fact just as good as a Spa treatment and a lot cheaper . I highly recommend these salts which I've been using now twice a week for the last 8 weeks and I've just finished the first 5 kg bag.

Relieved Eczema
Hi, I bought this for my 12 yr old son , who All of a sudden (out of the blue) started getting a really bad case of eczema, he had the flu for 3 weeks really bad , then after that his entire body arms, legs, back where covered, took him to our GP and was given all the usual pointless ointments that he hated and did not really work, then one day ( school holidays) we took him to the beach and noticed his skin looked much better , in total we went 3-4 times during the summer holidays, the Sea really improved his condition, obviously i knew that the sea had benefits but we live in London and cannot always get there, i went to my local supermarket saw this sea salt on the shelf (small bag £3.49) and bought it just to try it out, as i thought that it would not be the same as the ,,real sea side salt,, but we are amazed it has really calmed his skin down , every night he has a salt bath even after only 3 days there was an improvement, his skin is now less red and patchy, although at night he still itches , in terms of the creams , i always read reviews on Amazon first and compare a thousand times to get the right one, i had also bought the BIO-OIL GEL which is amazing too , this together with the salt has worked wonders, this Eczema is an absolute nightmare , especially for my son as it was apparently triggered after his bad case of the flu, Try it , anything for a bit of relief , Kind regards Carole

Good salts, great pack size!
TL:DR - Work well in the bath and much more economical in large bags.My wife and I bought a funky spa bath a few months ago, but when my wife was reading through various internet sites (a dangerous thing to do...) she kept seeing recommendations that you not use bubble bath products with them... Not just because the action of the jets is likely to create a wall of foam which will engulf your house and half of your street, but also because the residues from the bubble bath can block the jets. I have no idea whether this is true or not, but to be on the safe side we switched over to bath salts, which should have no such problems.I have been using West Lab salts ever since, and I have been consistently impressed with them. I suffer from eczema and dermatitis, and I know about it when I've used the salts in the bath, because my skin is noticeably better for several days afterwards. There's nothing else to get excited about really... They don't smell like strawberries or fizz or recite Beowolf or anything... You just chuck them in, swirl around 'til they dissolve and then relax in the bath until you get bored... But they do seem to clear up my itchy skin, and our bath jets are still resolutely un-clogged...It's definitely worth buying the salts in these huge industrial sized bags. A kilo will set you back nearly a fiver at Boots (other large chemists are available) and they don't go off, so unless you really lack space, there's no reason not to buy the big bags.
